Hello everyone,

I just want to thank everyone again for all the help, advice and tips i received on this board prior to leaving.

We arrived in Paris on April 25, used the TGV and was in Disneyland within 10 minutes :) very nice ...

Once we dropped our things off at Hotel New York and received our park passes we headed straight for the parks, i was confident and happy as we were walking there as i had been preparing for months...once we got there everything i had learned went through the window...it was sooo busy and there were so many people and i soon felt like a chicken with its head cut off, running from one place to another...getting confused...forgetting everything i had wanted to do with my little ones...there was even a 45 minute wait for Dumbo during EMH (though the sign said only 15 minutes)

we were there for three nights, and each day was sooo busy...i really commend you all for how well planned your trips are and how nice your trip reports are organized...when i think back to try to remember everything to document for a trip report my head starts spinning...

i do look forward to another trip back to DLP, only next time i will be much better prepared!!

my kids had a great time and were oblivious to how stressed i was...the main highlight was meeting the Princesses...while waiting in line with my daughter i was surprised as they called Sleeping Beauty out for some reason (not at the time when she was supposed to switch) and replaced her with Cinderella (who had been there when we initially joined the line)...after having gotten my daughter prepared for the fact that she would not be taking a picture with Cinderella, but with Sleeping Beauty instead, she was happily surprised to see Cinderella waiting for her...i was so happy as my daughter is obsessed with Cinderella at the moment :)

i have a tip, the next day as we were walking from Fantasyland toward Discoveryland we stumbled across both Sleeping Beauty and Belle...my daughter was on cloud nine...she was able to take pictures with both of them in less than 10 minutes (and we had waited in line for over an hour the day before for a picture with Cinderella)...

all the princesses were wonderful...very pleasant and sweet to all the children...i am kicking myself for not booking the princess dinner for my daughter...that will have to be for next time

afterward we went to paris for three nights, and i was in love ... such a beautiful city and with DLP nearby, i am seriously thinking of moving there!!!

thanks again for all of your help...as confused and stressed as i was, i was still able to use a lot of the advice i received on this board :thanks:

Welcome back :wave2: glad you had a great time. Everybody who's just come back has been saying how busy it's been.

There you go ..... you have your excuse to book a return trip!! :thumbsup2

Hi,

Glad you enjoyed it and would be interested to hear your thoughts on Hotel New York as we are staying there in August.

Whilst I am a newcomer to Disneyland Paris I know from several trips to WDW Florida that crowds can affect your theme park days, sometimes though even planning every detail doesn't help a significant amount.
The more you visit the easier planning becomes as you can just use your knowledge and experience.

EMH can also be misleading as it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be quiet, everyone else has the same idea after all.

welcome back
would love to hear about Paris too!! We're going to DLP as part of our honeymoon but Id like to visit Paris aswel so would love to hear all about it in your TR :goodvibes

Welcome back, glad you enjoyed your trip:goodvibes

Welcome back! :goodvibes

So, when's the next trip...?!! ;)

Glad you had a good time. Sounds like you have already decided on another trip:goodvibes

Welcome back!

Glad you had a good time! I think most people get the 'rabbit in the headlights' feeling when confronted with a busy park on their very first trip. On ours we only went on The River Boats, the playground and the Jules Vern Submarine (plus saw the parades) and that was 3 days!
Spent the whole time walking round deciding we couldn't queue for that long!:rotfl::rotfl:

At least have leaned my lesson now and leaving our most queue averse family member (DH) at home without having to queue for the loo (with no girls left)

The next time you do it, you'll be better prepared and enjoy it more.... like childbirth????????;)

enjoy planning the next one!

Welcome home. Glad you & your kids had a great time - despite your stress! Lovely to hear about how your daughter got to meet her princessess, it's moments like this that make all the stress worthwhile.
