We got back Saturday night, but it has taken me this long to get my wits about me.

There were 10 of us, and I had booked four villas; the dim bulbs who checked us in couldn't find but two in the records. Unknown to me, my dh had handed over the carryon bag to bell services, and that's where my fistful of confirmations were; one of our sons took off at a dead run and grabbed the paperwork for me. Those bulbs never got any brighter, but at least we got checked in. My ONLY request was that we all be close together, we were as far away from each other as possible (except for one son who was next door); one son and dil were even on a different floor. But that was our only gripe, and it was a minor one that we couldn't correct so we lived with it.

Daughter and her family had a dedicated 2-bedroom(424), which was a good thing because the kids' bedroom didn't have any access to/from the hallway. We had a 1-bedroom(447), as did older son and his wife(226), younger son had a studio(449). They were kept clean, and we didn't have any problems that I know of, with the thermostat/sensor thingy. Several of us like it really cold, and I was comfortable (DH wraps in a blanket).

We agree with the folks who talk about the small rooms; the 1-bedroom was just about big enough for the two of us. DH had to have a rental ECV because of recent health problems, and it was a challenge getting it over to the outlet for recharging every night. And I have NEVER seen so many doors! I stayed lost, wandering between the various parts of that bathroom, and DH never did manage to understand that he couldn't close the non-existant door between the master bathroom and the bedroom. Good grief! The closet was TINY! We had all casual, lightweight clothing, so we just used drawers. And those are some LONG hallways!

I had shipped several boxes down with stuff that I thought we might need, and they were delivered promptly. We also shipped stuff home, and that was handled well, also. Some glitches, but that's human nature and were corrected.

I would definitely stay there again; it's a very convenient location and it's comfortable.

Did you file your paperwork Wazowski?

that darn paperwork - would'nt be nice if it just went away!

Huh? You're saying that a 1BR was barely big enough for 2 people? What was the problem? Seems as though the 1 BR are certainly larger than regular resort rooms, as the studios are larger than regular resort rooms.

You must live in a HUGE house if you think the 1 bedroom was barely big enough for 2!!! We have alot of space at our house, but the 4 of us thought the 1 bedroom was great. I wouldn't want to live there permanately (well, maybe...) but the size is wonderful for vacation.

I didn't mean to upset anybody. My husband is a very large man, and the ECV we rented for him seemed to take up a quarter of the living room. Maybe the rooms in our house are oversized (we built it 20-odd years ago), I don't know. We realized that the villas were larger than a hotel room, but then, they cost quite a bit more than an average hotel room, too.

I'll stay quiet next time, so sorry..

We took a look at the one bedroom villas, and thought that the set up was perfect for 2.
Of course I didn't look in the closets... but that jacuzzi sure looked good!!

Thanks for your opinion, Pamlur. And you're right- the houses built at that time had bigger rooms.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, anyway....... :)

The biggest DVC resort as far as square footage is Old Key West. Their one bedroom units are over 1,000 square feet! Our first house (3 bedrooms) was only 1100 square feet.

I think most of the DVC resort one bedrooms that are hooked on to a hotel (BCV, VWL, and BWV) are a little over 700 square feet.
