Back from OKW

Just got back from OKW and had a great time. We were so close to the main pool and enjoyed all the festivities. The room was super clean, the staff catered to our every need and we even had a nice surprise package in our room from a GM of the DVC! Only one wish for OKW, I really wish they would add a snack bar/resturaunt like the Artist's Palette at SSR. I just wasn't impressed with Olivia's and especially not impressed with Goods. Olivia's was ok, it just wasn't WOW! Usually I bring my own food and cook but since this was a quick 2 day trip I felt I should indulge in the local cuisine. On a side note, we went to DHS for the 4th and got a treat. We just sat down at the ABC Commesary for a quick snack when a GM in a suit came over to us and asked if he could possibly interrupt our dinner. At first, I was scared I did something wrong, but he then said, since we were the only ones in there he invited us to see the fireworks in a VIP area above the commesary. He didn't want us to miss the celebration and wanted us to have a memorable time there. He took us up to the 2nd floor on a balcony which you could see the hat and everything and got to eat our snack and see the fireworks in style. It was a memory we will not forget!

We're HUGE OKW fans. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! My one beef with OKW is when we're back from the parks at 10 at night or whatever that there isn't anywhere to get a CS meal or fill mugs. That was hard for us last time and I'm hoping this year (in just over 3 weeks!!) we have a better experience.

Otherwise, I just love the atmosphere and everything else at OKW. Love it!

The main pool's bar was still open at 12 am and the drink refill station was open at that time too for July 3rd and 4th.
