Back from OKW---great time

We were at OKW for 10 days and it was sooooooo great!!! The place and the cast members were just what we expect from Disney. Couldn't be better........We had a 2 BR and had extra guests with young children for 3 days---total of 8 of us for 2 nights. We were totally comfortable with all those people in the same unit----it was a surprise for us that we could all fit so comfortably......The units must made with extra sound proofing for if you were in another room you could not hear a peep from any other place. That is Disney for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only boo hoo was the rain, but we made the best of it.

Ok the weather was bad, but how were the parks?

I can answer the question about the parks since we just got back from 12 nights at OKW. The crowds were manageable, but by midafternoon, the MK was nearly always too crowded to enjoy. The rainy days seemed to keep some people away from the parks. I heard that this past Tuesday (the first sunny day of our vacation), Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon were mobbed, presumably by folks with plus options to use on the park hoppers.

A couple of times we opted to get FastPasses for Test Track at around 11AM. By that time of the morning, the earliest time we got was 7PM. Needless to say, we didn't use those passes and settled for the single rider line.

We did manage to get to ride Mission Space one afternoon. We just happened to be escaping the crowds at MK and were on the monorail to Epcot when we noticed that they were letting people into Mission Space. We rushed to the attraction and, after a relatively short 30 minute wait, we got to ride. I think that WDW has a winner with this attraction.

Sorry we didn't do a better job of arranging a DISmeet while there were several DISers at OKW.

FYI we were in 3212. That's the second time that we've been in building 32 since becoming members in 1995. It's very nice to be near the Turtle Shack and the bus stop was literally at our front door.

I was at OKW June 19 - 22 in Building 39. The weekend was wet to say the least, but we found plenty to do to keep us busy!

Heck, we spent time planning our next trip down next month!

Sorry we didn't get a chance to hook up...but we do have a few years ahead to try again!
