We returned a few days ago from staying at BWV (our home). We usually request a BoardWalk view, but this was a bit of an impromptu trip, so BW views were gone before I booked. Instead, we asked for a Luna Park view, and we were so pleased. DS (age 8) loves that pool. We spent a large percentage of our trip there or at one of the waterparks, and I noticed that our vacation was very different with that view. More of a resort vacation. Hard to explain, but true.
Anyway, we were in 4024 which is on the wing directly overlooking the children's pool and play area. The room is a dedicated 1BR. (I didn't know there were such things, but I suppose if there are dedicated studios, there must be dedicated 1BRs.) It was amazingly quiet. The balcony was an extra long -- being one balcony going from the living room to the bedroom. I looked around the complex and didn't see many of those. It was a great luxury, and we spent a good deal of time on it. The entire place was in great shape with a new dishwasher, dvd player, various new dishes, a very clean "smell." (Strange thing to comment on, but it was evident.) Definitely a non-smoking room with no hint of cigarette smoke and no smoking rooms nearby. Anyway, thought I'd pass it along. People are always looking for our dues at work. I definitely saw that it was well-spent in keeping this room up.
I was also pleased by the bus system. WDW seems to have worked out some of the kinks. We didn't have any problems getting where we wanted to go or getting back. We never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. The buses weren't overly crowded. It's nice to not always share with Swan / Dolphin/ Yacht and Beach Club anymore.
We heard a lot of "Welcome Homes," and people were very friendly around the BoardWalk. I was glad, as I normally am when we're there, that we'd bought our DVC when we did (at $67 a point!)
