What an awesome vacation, best ever!!! My parents, sister and her family, and my family all enjoyed it!!!
The soda thing is great! I was able to buy a mug (that I left behind yesterday at disembarkation while looking through lost and found
) on Saturday for $3 or $4, don't remember--and used it at the drink station all week, mostly for iced tea. The two "fresh brewed" iced tea stations, however, were out of order all week and I had to drink the nestea at the soda fountain. That was fine with me but I know many are more particular! They also ran out of ice up there a few times.
We did the trolley tour in KW on our own--we got off at stop 3 so mom and I could see Hemingway House, then my family got off at stop 10 (leaving mom and sister's family) and walked down Duval st. to hit Margaritaville, Sloppy Joes and Del Sol. I missed Kinos though--the ship shopping guy had no idea where they were and they were not in any of Shirley's info either--wonder if they aren't on the "approved" list of shops.
In Cayman we did Capt. Marvins which was a lot of fun--my 6 year old son got to drive the boat for quite a while (supervised by the dive master of course). In Cozumel I was going to go to Paradise Beach but DH and I were a little sunburned so we did the Fury Catamaran Snorkel, Sail and Beach Party through DCL--under $200 for the 5 of us and a WHOLE lot of fun!!! I would recommend it to anyone!!!
The kids loved the clubs again--DS was in the oceaneers club from 9AM to 5:15 on Thursday!!
Did all dining room meals and Palo Brunch.
They had a special deck party and sailaway on July 4 and a supplemental menu--we all got champagne in glasses to keep.
Nothing more to add at this time, I'll be writing trip reports but in all honesty will have to refer to my navigators to do it! I wrote down what I ate every night but everything else is fuzzy, and unfortunately I have broken out in hives--never have before, but I ate tons of shrimp in all forms this week plus lobster on Thursday, and it came on Thursday night. So I need to finish unpacking and chill out. Any questions, ask!
