Just back from 6 nights at the Hawthorn Suites in Lake Buena Vista. We really liked this hotel. It was very clean and the staff was so friendly. We had a king suite with a pool view for $69 per night (Magic Card rate). The free breakfast each morning was good (usually scrambled eggs, tater tots, toast, doughnuts, muffins, fruit, cold cereals, etc.). We didn't cook any meals in the room, but did take advantage of the refrigerator and microwave for snacks and cold drinks. There is a Winn Dixie grocery store less than a mile away so we stocked up there. There are also a lot of restaurants within a mile or two (Chevys, Pizzaria Uno, Olive Garden, etc.).
The main reason we choose a suite was for our 14 month old daughter. We wanted a place where we could put her in bed for naps and early bedtimes and still be able to watch TV, etc. in the other room. The crib they provided was a pack-and-play. One night we got an actual pack-and-play crib sheet, but the other nights it was just a regular full size flat sheet. So if you are traveling with a younger baby and are worried about strangulation or suffocation, I would recommend you pack your own crib sheet.
Overall, I would definately recommend this hotel.
