My husband and I enjoyed the trip very much. This was our 9th Disney Cruise. Some observations:
Crew were fabulous! From dining servers, Yansen and Scott, to the maintenance men, everyone was friendly, smiling, and wanted to make sure you were having a great time.
Ship - I noticed rust on the railings, and some of the tiles in my bathroom had cracks in them. The linens need to be updated. That said, the room was spotless. Our cabin steward, Troy, was fabulous.
Dining-
Beach Blanket - Breakfast. Why can't the Mickey Waffles and Pancakes be hot?
Or at least warm, or at the minimum warm syrup? Nothing worse than cold waffles/rubbery pancakes. Even in the dining room, they were barely warm. Please, please, consider corn muffins or blueberry? The bran ones are yummy.
Lunch - Great selections for lunch. Always great selections of salads, desserts, etc.
Dinner - They did a wonderful job for,an alternative to the dining room for dinner. It was not buffet, but served. It was great sitting out on the deck enjoying the air, looking at the stars, with faux candles! Maybe this is Disney's version of "anytime" dining. It was always crowded, so maybe people are liking not eating too early or too late.
Dining Rooms- why does Disney go to the trouble of suggesting a dress code, and say no jeans and flip flops, and then let people into the dining room wearing those items? Why should people have to pack dressy clothes, shoes. Let's all just wear Harley Davidson tees and flip flops?
By the second week of the cruise, we were so tired of eating. All I wanted was spaghetti/meatballs, a sub/grinder/hoagie, tuna fish sandwich with chips. I didn't want any more souffles, appetizers, gourmet dinners, and fancy desserts. The first week they were fabulous....second week I was ready to blow up.
Shows - The ones we went to were very good. The other ones offered we had seen before.
Loved, as always, the 4th deck with the teak chaises and walking track.
Hawaii- it was great to return there after 34 Years (honeymoon). Went to Aulani, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Would love to spend a week there. Not enough time in each port to really see them. Wish we could have spent overnight in at least one.
Ensenada- the port was very pretty. Shopping was a challenge.
Plenty of people were booking future cruises. I'm very interested in The Panama Canal cruise, but don't think I want to do it on the Wonder until it is rehabbed.
Dvc- We are members, but it was so annoying to get a notice almost every night to go to an "Incentive" buying meeting. Even with the perks of buying onboard, points were still $120 a point....and we didn't have $10,000 in the stateroom safe.
