Back from GF/BC split stay

Found some more photos of GF construction if anyone is interested.... this one is of the beach which has been blocked by the construction wall. The second one is another view of the beach pool.

:goodvibesI like how they put potted plants up against the wall to try and divert our attention from the wall!!:lmao:

My family of four is going to be staying at BC for 8 nights during July. It was a big decision for what resort to pick. My husband and I were in WDW 20 years ago but this will be our girls first trip (12&14). I always want everything to go perfect on vacations and all the planning is on me. I wanted to stay some place a little more special with extras. I had decided on BW and posted for peoples opinions. They recommended BC for the pool area because the age of my girls who love the water. Since I decided not to include the water parks in our stay, I figured that was a great recommendation. Also we live near places with water parks so can do that at home. I had wanted to stay near Epcot because we have been to Disneyland and usually stay at the Disneyland hotel. We are been able to ride the monterail into Disneyland so that would not be new and when we walk to Disneyland go through Downtown Disney. I am so happy to hear of good reports on BC. It makes me think that I made the right choice and the extra spending will be worth it. I am actually very excited to be at a resort because I plan on hanging back in the mornings while my family rides the rollercoaster. Also I have already made adrs at several Epcot restaurants. If you have any special tips on BC I would love to hear them. Do all the room have a daybed or do I need to request a room with one? :yay:Just so excited!

Yes, the view of the wall and crane are from the beach pool. GF has another courtyard pool (without a slide and waterfall). I'm not positive, but the construction would not be viewed from any of the outer buildings, but it would be seen from the main building. I was just happy we didn't spring for the Royal Palm CL room. That would have been disappointing!!

There was a wedding going on at the pavilion and the reception was on the beach where all the walls and construction were going on! I hope that the bride got a hefty discount :sad2:

Ah okay thanks! I've only been to GF a couple times for meals and don't think I've ever been by the beach pool, so I'm only familiar with the courtyard pool. So I would assume that the courtyard pool is shielded from visuals or sounds from the construction, mostly?

What bad timing for the couple! :guilty:

You should come on over to the Y&B thread. You'll get great information ... especially on page one.

Plus, I think you made a great choice in the BC -- it's a beautiful resort in a fantastic location. :cloud9:
