We're back. I just wanted to post how much we enjoyed this resort. Yes it's huge but we requested cabana 9b and it was perfect. We never waited longer than 10 mins for a bus and we were there 10 days.
We liked pepper market too. We were on dining plan and ate there a lot. The pizza there is so good! I think pepper market was our favorite counter service. We also had dinner at Maya grill and I have read so many negative reviews about that place I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised.

We flew in from Chicago (O'Hare) and with flight cancellations/delays we actually didn't get in until 2am the following morning. I called to let them know what was going on, that our luggage may have been on different flight and may already be there. They told us our room was in cabana 9b and not to worry about our luggage, they were so nice right from the beginning.

When we got there, I told kids I forgot to pack Christmas decorations (I really didn't forget) I surprised my family with a tree and some decorations set up in room. They LOVED it. After our 1st day at parks all day we walked into a beautifully decorated room and it was neat to see the looks on their faces, even DHs, I was able to keep it a secret from him too:goodvibes

Overall I am so glad we stayed there. It was very clean and very well kept. I have nothing negative to say about this place it's what I hopped for.

Welcome back. Glad you enjoyed your stay at the CSR. Yes, it is a very large resort, but it is also beautiful. We can't wait until we are back there in September.

We were in Cabanas 9b as well. When I booked the reservations, the CM I spoke with promised a jr. king suite with 2 doubles and a king bed. When we checked in we learned that no room exists. The front desk CM manager was most helpful and "upgraded" us to a suite with a king, a pull down queen and a free rollaway bed for the week. They were most accomodating to our needs.

The resort was lovely - and although huge we would probably stay there again - but only in Cabanas 9b building. Bus stop 1 was convenient to our room and the pepper market was just a short stoll away. My daughter and I borrowed Grandma's scooter and rode around the circle several times - next time we just have to pack our swimsuits and check out the awesome pool. Who would have thought the weather in December would be warm enough to swim? We packed warm clothes and wound up only needing jackets a couple of nights.

The only disappointing factor was the "non-disney" theme. I guess I just fell in love with the hidden mickeys and disney theme in others resorts. CSR tends to be more "business resort" as it caters to convention goers.

Mousekeeping was great. We brought a 4 foot pre-lit tree with us and every day they would line up my daughter's stuffed animals and toys around the tree. They put towel animals in our rooms and she loved that!

We ate breakfast at Maya Grill and it was great - much to our surprise with so many mixed reviews.

I give CSR a thumbs up!

Glad you both had a good trip and liked CSR! It's a beautiful resort! We like the Cabanas, also. :)

Sounds like you had a great time! Regarding the hidden Mickey's...there are many at the CSR:)

This sounds awesome. Everytime we have been scheduled to stay at CSR we have had something come up and we had to cancel. But now DH and I are planning a suprise trip there next Christmas for DS and DD and I am so excited to here how nice it is for the holiday's. Thanks for a wonderful report.

What an awesome surprise for your kids! The Christmas tree there is beautiful. I thought CSR was decorated very nice for the holidays.
We decorated our window with garland and lights.

I am so glad we had the chance to stay here during the holidays. I highly recommend CSR. It seemed more like a deluxe resort than a moderate. It's really a nice place.

I totally agree, it seems on the upper end of the mods to say the least. I only wish it had queen beds.
