We arrived home yesterday from our best vacation ever 
I want to thank all of you who gave out great advice. I only hope that everyone else can be as fortunate to find this board before they go to WDW.
The weather was wonderful, we practically had the parks to ourselves & the longest we had to wait for a ride was 25 minutes (splash mountain). Our fears of everyone going last week because of the anniversary were for nothing. I'm sure it was probably crowded at MK but we went on Monday & the evening EMH ( I've forgotten which day it was
) All of the local stations were covering it that morning & there were already crowds @7:00 am, not sure how they got there ? ? So we decided not to go that day.
All your reviews of POR were dead on. My kids were so thrilled to see all of there animals waiting in the window when we arrived back the first evening. My 9yo thought that was the neatest thing.
Someone had said that they had pillowtop mattresses but they don't, I asked. They are VERY comfortable though. Probably the most comfort you'll get without a pillowtop.
My kids got autographs & pictures with most of the characters. I really didn't think that would be possible either, like I said, it was a great vacation. We can't wait to go back
