Good Friday to Easter Monday

Lows
Arrived Friday 11.30 and Salon Mickey had run out of all food and orange juice

Saturday - Salon Mickey - CM's allowing 7 people in on one shareholders card when you couldn't move already - also I now know why the food runs out when some take 3 or 4 items each

Smoking - I know it is one of the busiest weekends but it seemed wherever I went someone was blowing smoke in my/our face(s). We have another trip booked at the of 2 week holiday in the Loire Valley in August and unless Disney enforce some sort of smoking restriction we will not be renewing our AP's after 4 years.

Main Street station - waited from 4.10pm on Sunday afternoon to get the perfect view from the balcony overlooking Main Street, only to be told by a station CM at 4.30pm that the station was closing and we couldn't watch the parade from there. Found a space on the kerb and watched the parade from there only to look up at the station at 5pm to see lots of people up on the station watching.

Highs
Great day out in Paris on saturday - thanks to this forum, I felt confident to take my wife and 3 children to Paris - didn't go up the Eiffel Tower but what a view from the Trocadero. Very easy journey on the RER A and no problems on the Metro.

Enjoyed the new parade but the most amazingly high has to be Dreams - what a show - we left the park all saying WOW !

Indiana Jones - still the best ride in the park - the sheer thrill for the 360 is amazing

Welcome back, i'm surprised that people managed to get 3 or 4 items in Salon Mickey as they usually monitor this really closely.

Welcome back, sad to hear your lows, especially the smoking - do you think someone should set up an e-petition or something to try to get their attention on this issue?

I know, except for one occasion where we were told 2 items we have only been allowed one item each.

I doubt it would have any impact as whenever I go it looks as though more Europeans are smokers. So to ban smoking in the park would probably deter the majority of their visitors.

Ban smoking in lines for rides, watching the parade etc though I do agree with but just walking around the park if you don't like it walk away from the smoker.

Welcome back :wave2: it's a shame to see you had more lows than highs - I hope you still had a good time overall.

Welcome back :goodvibes

Glad to see you really enjoyed Dreams - can't wait to see it - only another 7 ish weeks :cool1:.

Sorry to hear about Salon Mickey (one of the reasons I was put off applying for shares is there is normally 6 in our party and I'd hate for someone not to be able to come in - it would be like having to choose someone to stay out. I had read they were pretty strict with numbers in there so I didn't pursue applying). So, I'm not sure what happened with it when you were there - did it happen on several days or just one?

As for the smokers - it is awful (although if I'm honest I don't recall it much on our other 2 trips). I'm really not sure how they police it but definitely remove someone from a queue if they are smoking .

Having said that, in Legoland Windsor last year during both our trips we came across people queuing and smoking - despite the fact it is forbidden. Staff just turn a blind eye - partly because they fear recrimination or abuse if they try and make a stand :sad2:.

I wonder if this is why it isn't enforced at DLP (not that smoking's ever bothered us there, think maybe we've just been lucky) - it doesn't make it right but it's understandable.

Sorry to hear you had so many lows. I think we have been really lucky to avoid any problems with smoking in the past as a lot of people are mentioning it. I imagine though it is very difficult for the staff to confront people and I certainly wouldn't want to do it if I were them.

Welcome back :goodvibes

So glad you enjoyed Dreams, and hope this made up for the lows :)

The highs of the day trip to Paris and Dreams definitely made up for all the lows.

This time is just seemed very difficult to get away from someone smoking - wherever we walked there always seemed to be a smoker in front of us.

This was possibly the busiest we have ever seen the parks so that might have made a difference.

Salon Mickey was very busy every day we went in and they were even queueing outside one day.

You definitely notice the smoking more the busier the parks are, in a way I suppose that's an obvious thing to say.
When it's busy you feel like you can't get away from them, when it's quiet you have more space so doesn't bother you as much.

For what it's worth we saw as many people from the UK smoking as anyone.
