Hey, Just got back from my trip. I actually had a convention in Phoenix and couldn't bring myself to fly so we drove out. Since we were half way around the country we couldn't resist stopping in to see some friends in Costa Mesa, CA which happens to be 15 mins from Disneyland.
We have a real adventure for the drive...but I'll bore you another time. When we got to disneyland we thought we were prepared for the smaller park....well I was wrong. I've been to Disney World all my life and I'm so use to it. I guess the biggest shock was the castle. I was prewarned but it was still a shock. We did alot of the rides that wdw doesn't have or that is suppose to be different. We only had about a day and a half and we also wanted to see California adventure. I loved Indiana Jones! The Pirates of Carribean was great (alot better then wdw!!) And my husband LOVED the haunted house, now themed with Nightmare before christmas. It was wonderful.
I didn't get much pin trading done. I finally found where they met (at the front of course). But I guess as a small fish it is hard. I have to admit I felt out of place. (I went on Sunday...sorry to have missed you MadStrawberry). Every one seemed to know each other and it was very difficult for me to "get in" if you know what I mean. I was also dissappointed that I couldn't make a trade. I guess it wasn't that the person didn't want to trade but that I was made to feel that I wasn't good enough to trade with. Apparently, I was in a territory that was out of my league....Sorry to complain....but I feel better.
Anyway, the pin I so desperately wanted was a Tokyo Steamboat willie that had a spinning wheel. I haven't found it on pinpics yet. I'll keep looking. If anyone has this for trade let me know and I'll try so hard to find something it my small fish bowl!
Well, I've got lots of catching up to do and lots of mail to open....4 LBE!!!!
