I'm back from Disney and on the whole I loved it.

We only spent one day in both parks. We hit just about all the rides we wanted to in CA. The lines weren't that long..but once we hit DW, all bets were off. Crowded to say the least..

A few observations.. What is up with people not following directions? Not buckling safety belts when asked? Skipping in lines? Handicapped people having 5-6 family members with them and skipping ahead, and bring rude about it. My friend was bumped by a woman in her scooter and the woman acted like my friend should apologize.

Also we were shocked that most food places didn't open till 1030. We'd been there since rope drop

Were here in the parks now, this is out fourth and last day. I agree with everyone not following direction. Nobody walking on the right side of the path, large groups stopping blocking the small walkways, large groups cutting, parents letting their kids wander and climb all over everything. It was crazy. Were wdw locals and as a whole we have noticed the guests here this trip have been quite all over the place, and definitely not as pleasant. Our previous trip was in September with estimated crowds on the 1 and 2 levels, and I can happily say that will be the only Time we will return again. Too much pushing and shoving and unhappy guests this trip.

Excepting the seat belt thing, all of that happened to me during my last trip to Target.:lmao: If they're rude on vacation, they're rude in life; as magical as Disneyland is it cannot cure bad manners!

I really cannot stand rudeness. This makes me very nervous for my trip, now! I've never gone during the summer, only during early fall when crowds have been minimal.

Grumble.

Especially line skipping. Seriously? Aren't cast members there to help deter that kind of thing?

Its not line skipping if they have either the GAC or a wheelchair.. they will line up at a different entry point to the reg line and be allowed to get seated on the ride at the discretion of the cast member..

as for the woman who run into bumped into your friend , now that was rude..

Sounds very frustrating! Although to put things in perspective as far as the family of 5-6 skipping ahead with the wheelchair, I personally am never bothered by this. All my family members are healthy but if one of them happened to be in a wheelchair I would certainly want to be able to ride with that person. :)

rude and inconsiderate happen all over even at WDW... we were in line for Barnstormer for about 15 minutes, half way through when my son decides he has to pee. We were right at the CM entrance and she opened the chain to let us run to the restroom and when we returned we went back through the chain and had about 15 people to walk pass to get back to the wife and these fools stood there looking at me like they were going to prevent me from 'skipping' the line.. lol. They were sorely mistaken and I made sure they understood who was winning the fight as I made my way to my wife.

When we got to the FP merge spot she asked how many to us, we said three, she let us through then ask the person behind us and he said 14 so its safe to say that family or perhaps what ever State they are from did learn to respect others. They got held up by the CM to let FP's through too lol..

I've seen this behavior at both DL and at WDW. I try not to let it bother me too much because the parks aren't mine and mine alone, and most people are generally oblivious to people around them. But usually by the 4th or 5th day, me or the wife have reached out tipping point.

For instance, our last trip to WDW in Dec 2012, we were exiting the park after the fireworks on a non-Christmas-Party day (it was busy busy). We had two of the kids in a double stroller, so we were moving slowly as not to bump anyone. And then some lady actually tried to step across the stroller and ended stepping on my son's leg. For my wife, that is when the world ended :furious:
