We just returned from a 6 night stay at CPGV's.
First I wanted to say thanks to everyone on this board for all of the helpful info regarding this resort. I was having such a hard time making a decision on where to stay & everyones recommendations put me at ease about this place.
I have to say we were very happy with the resort. As others have said its not a 5 star hotel, but we felt it suited our needs adequately. I would definitely stay there again.
If anyone has questions about the place, feel free to ask. I'd like to pass on any info or help to others who like me, was so overwhelmed with trying to find a nice place to stay.
I also took alot of pictures of the grounds and interior but dont know how to make a link to display them. If anyone could give me instructions on how to do so, I would be more than happy to post them

:guilty: Only back 6 days and miss the mouse already!

I am glad you had a great time, Was The resort crowded? We are leaving tomorrow and will be there Saturday. any tips? did they ask you about a smoking room or non smoking room? One of my dd has airway issues and is on a cpap machine and can't be around any smoke .

We arrived Fri. the 15th and it wasnt too crowded but Sat & Sun it definitely got busier. DH took our son over to the Volcano pool at CP one night & said it was very crowded over there (people drinking beer by pool and being very loud). CPGV's however even when it seemed rooms were filling up still stayed very quiet, even in the pool area.
As for the smoking policy, they did not ask when checking in wether we wanted smoking or non smoking. Were were in Bdg B and I have a feeling we were in a smoking room. There was a small burn mark on the sink vanity & when we checked in to our room there was a really strong smell of a room air freshener which hung around for a couple of days then dissapated. There were ashtrays all around the pool area so there were people smoking so that may be a concern for your DD. But I didnt notice alot of people smoking or the smell in the air. Maybe when you check in you might want to ask if they have a non smoking section. Or call CP before you leave with a room request. The were very good about that with our room request.
Also I forgot to mention in my first post that the pool at CP is not heated. CPGV's are.....and are a very comfortable temperature. I loved that I could just walk into the pool without getting shocked by cold water.

Enjoy your vacation...You will really like CPGV's.

Thank you, I will call Cp now.

So glad you had a great time!! :sunny:

My friends loved it at CPGV last November and we are due in this December. We both got it on Skyauction. I'm so excited and I can hardly stand it!! :Pinkbounc :teeth:

aimeeme,

We are staying there in Sept. and I would love to see your photos. Have you uploaded them to a web site (Ofoto, Webshots, etc.) yet?

Smoking is not allowed in any of the villas at CP or CPGV.There are however ashtrays outside in the screened in balcony's. :sunny:

This may seem like a stupid question but is the set up of cpgv more like a resort/hotel or actual seperate villas? Hope that makes sense.

The resort is actual buildings with separate units inside. They really are gorgeous and it's a great resort! :flower:

We will be at Cypress Pointe mid October and can't wait. I am an adamant non-smoker as is the rest of my family coming with us so the news about all rooms being non-smoking is wonderful. However, I have to ask, knowing how some smokers are (I said some, not generalizing all smokers here) how do they enforce the no smoking in the villas rule I wonder?

Thanks for letting me know the set up. It sounds like everyone is having a great stay there. Defintely adding this to my list of possibles.
I'm learning so much from this board!
