We just returned from a week at BWV in a 1-bedroom standard view (Room 4121). (Not the great corner room, but right next door!) Location was just what we wanted (only request was upper floor). We were at the end of the long hallway, but across from the steps and close to the parking, bus and the path to DHS. Too bad the tree out front has gotten so large - we could see the fireworks, but only from the far end of the deck. The room was really quiet, especially at night, maybe because there was no connecting studio and no one upstairs.

The room was clean and in fine condition. I think the only thing missing was the privacy sign, but we didn't bother getting one. We checked in around 3:30 and the room was ready around 4:30 or 5...we went for a snack at ESPN and so didn't stress about the wait.

We really enjoyed the pools this time...even decided against going to Blizzard Beach one day. The crowds were crazy in our opinion, so it was far more relaxing to go to the Boardwalk pool and slide. Loved being able to walk to DHS and Epcot, though we did catch the boats a few times.

We ate many meals in the room...nothing fancy, just rotisserie chicken, frozen pizza, sandwiches for lunch, etc. The kitchen is well-equipped for simple meals.

Had a fun trip despite the large crowds in the parks.

We too just returned from BWV. 1BR rm 3017. Nice boardwalk view, watched illuminations once from the balcony, could also see just above beachclub roofline some of wishes. Not loud at all. A bit of a walk from the elevators, but at least it is indoors and the AC was working well.

Transportaion to parks was never an issue. Walked to Studios once and to Epcot many times.

Room was generally clean, but was showing signs of wear in the bathroom near the shower.

Staff was very good. We were celebrating our 15th anniversary and we were surprised to get a bouquet of balloons and an autographed photo from Prince Charming and Cinderella. Luggage service and valet are top notch.

We will be back.

Glad you had a nice time. Nice to hear some positive comments about BWV. Thanks for the report.

:beach:

In July stayed in BWV 4119. Right next door to you. We loved our room. I saw that big tree in front of your balcony and thought it would block the view of Epcot. Nice to hear about your trip.

We said we would like the room next door, since there was no tree there. The people in that room came out every night and watched the fireworks from their chairs. We had to lean off the end of the balcony - I had to put my wine glass down (!) But last time we stayed in 3119, and could not see the fireworks at all. I guess it would be "ungreen" to suggest that they trim the trees! Other than the expanding tree:laughing: , this is my favorite location for standard view. We used the steps alot...my 2 teens, who have run cross country, complained a bit.

bub...Thanks for the "DVC report" on your recent stay. Sounds like you had a relaxing vacation. Also glad that your room & CM's were up to good standards.

Mickeypal1 and crbruce_us...thanks for chiming in with your comments on your own recent stays. Too often the positive comments get glossed over here and the negative experiences grab all the attention.

Come to think of it, that's not a lot different than the nightly news, is it.

Thanks to all for the reports. :)

from BWV, room 4077, loved the location, but also had a HUGE try in front of us - oh, well, we wanted standard and near elevators and got what we wanted - also were able to get our room by 9:30 in the morning...LOVE BWV location! We were there July 27-Aug. 1:banana:

Maybe a chain saw should be added to the list of important things to bring to a DVC resort...:goodvibes Do you think one would fit in an Owner's Locker?
