Back from BWV - Photos included!

Hey everyone! I stayed at BWV this past week (August 1-7) in a 1-Bedroom Preferred View. We did get one of the newer rooms. It was down the newly upgraded hallways. I believe, but not sure, that the upgrades were the carpet, the curtains, new paint, one of the lamps, no mirror on top of the living room TV stand, a new TV in the living room, the bed spread, and the pull out couch. Also the washer and dryer, stove, and the fridge seemed brand new. BUT I'm not sure considering this is my first time staying here and I also own at AKV. Also, they've been painting the sides of the buildings. Mostly everything looks new and fresh. Also, some of the roofing has been replaced and looks great.

We did have some problems though. We both did the dining plan - there were two of us. But for some reason every time we went to use one of our snack credits, it wouldn't work. It would say on their register, "call front desk." Quick services and table services work fined. Weird, huh? LOL. Even the cast members at the BWV were confused. He wanted me to put a credit card down, purchase the snacks to the room, and they would just "manually" move the charges of the snacks from my CC to Disney. You gotta be kidding me, we were at the desk twice already trying to fix the problem, so this would never work. So, I asked for a different option. Then they just gave us a 50 dollar credit so we could charge the snacks. He said they would "monitor" the purchases to make sure we were buying snacks. I really felt like I was 12 years old. Oh well, I found the CM's to be OK at this resort. It was a hit or miss really and and have desire to return. But the resort was beautiful and very clean.

Were the new chairs on the balcony resin? Probably an odd question, I know, but after staying at the YC for years before becoming DVC members, I really loved the wrought iron chairs on the balconies.

How do the sofas open up? Are they like BCV where the pillows stay attached when opened?

I love the decor but have concerns about the light colored sofas looking dirty in a short period of time. How much of the resort has been updated?

Yes! Exactly.

I hope that is NOT the new TV. We were expecting panel TVs.

About the TV in the living room...I'm not really sure if its the new one or not. I thought they were small and black before. But if they do replace them, they would have to replace the entire entertainment center because those flat screens are way too flimsy. But we'll see!
