Just back from a trip 7/28-8/4 to BLT (2br MK) and THV (unit 7031).
Great trip! We had a great view from 7716 in BLT. I do agree the furniture is a bit flimsy - we had a bag of mosquito spray on the dining room table that apparently had a slow leak - it actually ate into the table finish! - but the sleeper chair in chair mode is incredibly comfortable - we want one!
The room was warm when we checked in and a few light bulbs were out. We called maintenance and he also did the AC override trick to make it cool. The rooms with those big windows are much nicer when they are cool on a hot day (it as in the mid-nineties all week).
I liked BLT better than the rest of the family, who I think found it a bit sterile. Too bad they don't have AMC on the TV - it would be the perfect setting to watch "Mad Men."
Everyone loved THV. Unit 7031 is right next to the south bus stop and a short walk from the pool and boat.
We had a car, but the couple of times we used the busses and the boats they were right there when we needed them - even when going to Typhoon Lagoon (still recall the one hour bus ride from SSR to Downtown Disney a few trips back!)
The themostat is the same as BLT, but with the high ceilings and dark decor, we didn't feel the need to fiddle with it. We did manage to grill (although our grill was already rusted from a lack of cleaning after use). An earlier attempt was thwarted by rain.
My parent who are smokers loved that the smoking area was just at the foot of stairs (there's a smoker's post type ashtray attached to the railing).
While we were sitting on the deck, a repairman came by saying someone reported splinters (we didn't, but there is a metal handrailing so we weren't running our hands along the wood). He found the splinter and fixed it and did mention that he wished Disney had used plastic for the decking. He was also wary that the decks might need a lot of repair as they pull apart at the angles. He's hoping the've get him some brackets for the angles (since the deck is octagonal) to keep them from spreading.
Both BLT and THV had handy boxes allowing multiple hook ups to the TV's - HDMI, RCA, VGA. Although it's not hard to go behind the TV's, this eliminates the need. We did need to replug in our DVD player - not sure a previous guest did it or it was set up poorly in the first place.
