What in the world is smoking optional? ...In my Opinion it's either smoking or not smoking. Smoking optional to me just means smoking.

You've got it right. By calling it "optional," it looks more PC and perhaps less unpleasant to a non-smoker who happens to get stuck with one of those rooms when they really prefer a non-smoking room.

Still have not received my paperwork for DVC

Once we receive it and signed does anyone know the app time frame until I can book my first reservation. I am way to anxious!

Is that all I have to do is sign or is there more involved?

Are you paying cash or taking a loan through DVC? Because I don't remember at what point we signed all the papers, but I remember that we applied for financing, got our membership #, and made our ressies BEFORE we were even approved for the financing. I always thought that was so funny that DVC lets people do that-they must approve just about all of them! So call your guide and he/she can tell you if you can make ressies. It's amazing how soon they have you in the system with a number! And yes, I certainly understand how anxious you are-we did everything as soon as possible.

We are financing it through Disney. I am sooo excited to hear
I rush to the mail box everyday to see if the paperwork is there.

I want to book a cruise for Oct of 2004. Do you still make the down pmt and then use your points. Have you ever taken a cruise using your points. Is it hard? Have you ever added on to your points? How long have you been a member?
