Back from a lovely night in the ER

If she doesn't seem much better call the doctor or ER and see if they can get you a nebulizer for the day. Or if you know someone that lives close that has asthma they might have one. That way the Doctor could get you some meds for it and you could give her treatments yourself. Often that is the only thing that kept DD home when she's had asthma problems. Only when it isn't enough have we had to go to ER.

We have a nebulizer but rarely use it, just when DD's asthma is bad so someone that has one often doesn't need it all the time.

I hope she gets well soon! That's a very stressful thing. DS had pneumonia once when he was 14 months old and the treatments were misery for him.

Oh my goodness. :( The poor little sweetie!

Lots of pixie dust and good thoughts on the way for her! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sure hope she's feeling better soon.

Wow, I know how scary that can be Kristy. We did that with Lucas once. It was one of the worst feelings in the world.

I hope she is feeling better soon.

Hope that she is doing much better now!! {{{{{HUGS}}}}

No *sigh* she's not. :( She is starting to wheeze some again and her fever is going back up again.

I hope she is soon feeling well. We have had an outbreak of whooping cough south of Dallas. Some of the younger doctors did not recognize it as whooping cough and misdiagnosed. They had never seen a case, so they did not realize what it was. I had the same thing happen when my DS had the mumps(even though he was immunized). The young doctor we saw at night clinic did not recognize it as mumps even though I insisted that is what he had and the elderly nurse agreed with me. The doctor had never seen the mumps before. DS's pediatrician informed the younger doctor that he had just seen his first case of the mumps.

{{{{HUGS}}}} Kristy, there is nothing worse than sitting listening to them struggle to breathe.

If she isn't already have her prop up and much as possible. Even in a recliner if you can. That helps them breathe a little easier. Lying down flat can make it worse.

The breathing & fever always seem to worsen at night, hopefully this will get her over the worst of it.

I'm so sorry to hear your daughter is sick Kristy. . :(

I hope the antibiotics kick in soon; I'm sure niether of you needs another night in the ER, but don't hesitate if she gets any worse. .

Good luck, and please let us know how she's doing. . {{{hugs}}}

Kristy,

Ugh--no fun at all for any of you.

Hope you guys are resting as easily as you can.

My little guy has started a cough, and I am keeping an 'eagle eye' on him. We've already had one bout with pnumonia.

Let us know how you are both doing.

Debbie

Kristy, hope you got some sleep last night and that your little one is feeling better this morning.
