Back from 8 days - dining report

Thought I would tell you where we ate and what we enjoyed and did not enjoy;

chef mickeys bkfst - excellent as always
calif grill - overpriced and food quality was poor (we had the filet)
crystal palace dinner- excellent as always
1900 park fare dinner - excellent as always
Casey's - our first time and we loved the dogs !
The Plaza - another first for us and we really enjoyed it
Big River Brew (boardwalk) - so so, not overly impressed with menu or food quality
contempo cafe - big thumbs down, poor selection and quality
Liberty Inn (epcot) - great quick serve place, our 1st time going there
Hoop Dee Doo - LOVE IT !! always a great take
Electric umbrella - OK, typical quick serve

I know we did some other quick serves but they escape me at the moment, but they are all the same IMO, we usually go to the burger joint type one's b/c we have 2 picky eaters. I will say that I find the kids meal selections have really gotten bad, they have hardly any selection for kids and i have one kid who just wanted PBJ most days and not every place has it, it should be a staple offer on the quick serve menus. Overall though we were satisfied with the meal options and quality.

Gotta try have the grey goose lemonade slushie thing at france, SO yummy and I also had a alcoholic lemonade thing in germany that was also very good it had some kind of cherry liquor in it mmmmmm

Would love to hear all the nitty gritty about Cali Grill...we are dining there for the first time in just 22 days and I have been hearing alot of negative reviews, especially about the filet which is what DH is planning on ordering.

calif grill lowdown.... first of all the menu was really not what we expected and does not accuratley reflect that you find online. The appetizer we got was soup, which was quoted on the menu as having lobster on top of it.... it is shredded lobster and about 1/2 of a teaspoon of it. The Filets we asked for medium/well, which the inside of the filet was...but the whole exterior was dry and burned,, not to mention the filet was tiny and the potatoes it came with were a cheesy mashed which i would say they give you about 2 tablespoons of. The filet itself was just not good, it was dry and tough. The beer selection was terrible, they really push the wine which is insanely $$$...i had a vodka drink that was all of about 4 sips ($9). The bread was the best part of the meal lol the service was nice but overall i would say it was a 3 on a 1-10 scale. i have been to far better upscale steak/chop houses.
