Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great holiday weekend! We're back from #23, which was excellent! Only slight glitch was a flight delay caused by a luggage door that refused to close, which got us in kind of late, but the luggage didn't take too long (well, relatively speaking, since it was ATA), and the La Quinta shuttle was pretty prompt, so we still got a pretty good amount of sleep. We also heard another reason to fly out the night before: We met a family when flying home that had gone on Sovereign of the Seas. They flew out the day of their cruise, and someone on their flight had a heart attack, which meant a diversion and two hours in Atlanta. Fortunately, they had a towncar and were able to leave promptly on arrival in Orlando....they said they were lucky not to get a speeding ticket on the way to the port!
We met lots of DISers, including Camcolt and Disneyholic Family, and one more who is slipping my mind at the moment. It rained in the morning at Castaway Cay, but as Tony and I sat huddled under an umbrella, I told him we would NOT break out streak...and within 10 minutes the sun was shining! I just hope we have enough of that pixie dust for our three in a row in Aug/Sept.
Even tho' we had a blast on the Magic last month, it was great to get back to my favorite ship and see lots of old friends. The ship was full, but we were in my old favorite, 5650, which was as peaceful and quite as always. As usual, we didn't even disembark in Nassau...just spent lots of time in the spa, and we also saw Lilo and Stitch, which was hilarious!! My favorite line in the movie was, "It's okay, my dog found the chainsaw."
We just walked in, so it will take some time to do our updates and get my trip report posted, but I just wanted to say hi to everyone. We also got some new photos of things like the princess party and the 4th of July decorations, so we'll be adding lots of goodies to the website.

Welcome back, Barb & Tony! :D Glad #23 was just as wonderful as the other 22! ;)

And glad your amazing streak of mostly sunny days on Castaway Cay remains intact! :sunny:

Hi Barb & Tony!
Glad to see you made it home safely and no more trouble with airplane doors. We just got in too.
What a weekend!!!!! I cant believe how great the trip was, weather and all(thanks for chasing the clouds away!). Cant wait to read your trip report and Disneyholic said she would be doing one too. I hope to get mine done soon also. It will be fun to compare notes.

I guess all I can add to your description of the cruise is that I second what you said "Awesome!" Just about everything was perfect!

Ill be watching for your trip report and pictures, and thanks again for all your good advice and for introducing us around. We had so much fun with you pros! :D

Glad you are home and had a great time.

We saw LILO AND STITCH this week too and I have not laughed so hard in a LONG time.

I look forward to the new additions to the website. Hoping the new pictures will be linked to the new report so I don't miss any.

Barb -

When you get a chance - I just have a few of questions about the princess party:

When is it?
Where is it?
Who is able to attend? (Will DD 2 1/2 be able to attend?)
Is this in the kids clubs?
What is the party all about?

Thanks,
Lisa

This info applies to the 3 day Wonder,

It's held on Nassau Day at 9:30 am.

In the Atrium, in front of Tritons, No reservations needed.

The Princess Party is open to all.

And is really a fancy name for a photo/autograph session, NO food or drinks will be served.

The 4 princesses are: Cinderella, Belle, Alice in Wonderland, and Wendy

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly Barb!!

We are going to be on the 4 day Wonder - Is this princess party on that one too or only the 3 day?

Thanks for your info!!

Lisa

Hopefully someone will post the info for the 4-day.

I checked the 4 day nav's on Dave's site, and it's listed as character greetings at 9:30am.

We will be on the 4 day (w/ day at sea) in early Sept which is before your cruise.

I;m so impressed 23 cruises WOW..... Not to be too nosey but how in the world do you afford to go that often.....Do you get free cabins for the free Disney advertisements... :) By the way I'm training to be a travel agent right now & I would like your business:) Just kidding.... I just wanted to thank you for the web site you priovide as well & let you know how much we all appreciate all the great info !!!! Happy Sailing :):bounce: :Pinkbounc

Free cabins...I wish!!!
Nope, we pay the big bucks. We should probably just have our paychecks directly deposited into Mickey's account. :)
As a matter of fact, we'll be paying full price in Sept. when many other lucky cruisers are on that $99 special...ouch! I guess we will just have to move to Florida someday so we can get those Florida resident rates.
