just back home from an - erm - eventful trip for one reason or another!

I will do a trip report but the traditional highs and lows -

Lows
flybe and TGV - both let me down badly this trip.
Big Thunder Mountain - very temperamental for 4 of our 5 days, down and out of service for long periods of time every day.
The crowds on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Highs
Fabulous new Cars room at the Santa Fe, with nice welcoming touches (plush for DD, kettle and tea basket for me :)).
Meeting Marie kitten on Saturday :goodvibes
Dreams - saw it 3 times out of 4 possible nights
Tower of Terror - my new all-time favourite ride
Studios guided tour - for a couple of reasons ;).

Of course we will be back - but possibly not for 18 months or so this time, we want to bring my niece and do all the little girlie stuff with a little girlie princess:.

Welcome back! Will we see pics? Those kittens are so cute! How badly it was crowded?

Welcome back :wave2: Sorry you had travel hassles but :cool1: to meeting Marie! So glad you had some pixie dust too at the SF. pixiedust:

Welcome back! Sounds like you had a good time. Thursday was the significantly most quiet day last week, but horrible because of the cold and wet!
Do they do the studios tour in english now? I thought that they didn't but maybe I'm confused.

I thought it was busier than the last full weekend we had, back in March 2011. It seemed much more reasonable for crowds yesterday though.

yes, they do the Studios tour in English, we were the only ones on it on Monday afternoon. We want to do the specific one for the Tower of Terror too next time, but thats only available on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, before official park opening time.

Welcome Back! :goodvibes

Sounds like you had a nice time in DLP despite the crowds! Can't wait to hear more about it in your TR :lovestruc

You will have to tell us more about the WDS tour, I want to do this on our trip. Are they doing tour of the Tower of Terror in English now?

I believe so - but I'd check first by email before booking it :).

Welcome back :goodvibes

I had considered taking the guided tour too but decided to leave it for next time ;).

I felt Saturday to be ridiculously busy in comparison to Friday. On Friday evening I left dd with mam in the disabled access area for dreams and went to get hot chocolates & mickey brownies in the cable car. I was able to walk back effortlessly through the crowds. On Saturday it was literally "pardon, pardon, pardon" every two steps :worried: even queuing at the back of btm was mayhem, we waited 60 minutes one time.

Anyway I hijacked your thread :rolleyes1 !
Glad you had a good time overall and I'm sorry to hear you had transport trouble

Welcome back!
Yes it was busy at the weekend, although I don't think as busy as October half term. Your Santa Fe room sounds good and lovely treats too! I was hoping for a little something to help celebrate my DSis's 50th birthday, but we didn't get lucky. We did get our requested rooms though so I can't really complain. BTM is getting more and more temperamental and there were no FP's available for Indie this time. We had a lovely time, but cut backs are quite noticeable! Just as well we have Dreams to cheer us up! :goodvibes

Welcome back Elaine, sounds like you had a great time with the exception of travel.

Welcome back :goodvibes shame about your travel hassles but I am so pleased you met Marie!

And I can't believe you won't be going back for approx 18 months ..... ;)

Marie!!! :)

Looking forward to hearing about the Studios guided tour too! :)

Welcome back Elaine  ToT tour in English!! That almost warrants a trip of its own! Sorry to see you had transport troubles. Going over to have a read of your TR now too.
