Got home Saturday afternoon from the 1/19 cruise-- THe cruise was absolutely perfect!!! Will try to post a trip report later but wanted to list some observations first-
-I don't know how people cruise without reading this board. We would not have known anything and would have been even more shell shocked than we were!
- Tea with Wendy -- we were excited about his but were rather disappointed - I think we expected too much. It was over in about 15 minutes!
- Do the Golden Eagle Catamaran excursion, it was fantastic! The crew was great. One note - Disney has bottled water for sell before the excursions but you don't need to buy it for this one- they serve drinks on the catamaran and the beach. Most people bought the water(including us) at $1.50 each but didn't need it.
- Late seating - we had late seating and PLA rotation and LOVED it. Our table mates were MickeyMagic and her DD. Our DD7 and her DD10 got along great. Our servers, Eddie from Turley and Lorenzo from Italy, were great with the girls. Eddie did magic tricks every night and really kept them entertained. With the late seating we did not feel rushed to end our day to get ready for dinner. The show only last about and hour so there was time to get ready from dinner after the the show. DD usually had pizza in the afternoon so she was never starving at 8:30.
- We had plenty of hangers in the room. Actually had too many as they would 'ting' during the night as the ship rocked.
- The over the door shoe holder was a great idea. There are some shelves in the bathroom but not enough to hold all of my 'stuff'. The show holder was great from suntan lotion, hairbrushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, to the hairdryer and curling iron (after it cooled of course).
- Settle you tips early- the line at guest servies gets really long
- Go to Shutters Friday after Castaway Cay to finalize picture purchases- It was a zoo in there Saturday morning.
- Do collect your pictures during the week and stack them together. It was easier to make our choices.
- Do get dressed up for formal night if you are going to one of the dinning rooms. We saw a mix of tux, suits, and even some with no jackets or even ties. But the fun of the evening is getting dressed up. The ladies had on all types of dresses from sequin gowns to simple cocktail dresses.
I know there are tons of other things and will try to post as I think of them. The most important thing though is RELAX! There is so much to do that relaxing and enjoying the trip can easliy be forgotten.
