Got back Friday.

Weather improving as had more rain than enjoyed in the past.
For those of u who have booked with TCD and have read reports,I admit I was really worried but the flight was good,as others have reported planes are 'older' eg 747 200 series without seat back tv's.
But we went in Upper Deck and on both legs the stewrdess was great, outgoing was Jo who was brilliant.
Only niggle booked Liki Tiki and that was changed but not told,I eventually picked up from revised invoice, when queried was told that I had been contacted, eventually they agreed that I hadn't been informed, was then booked for Orbit One so on arrival went to these apartments only to be told that we weren't there !!! had been moved to Parkway Apts but the man at Orbit was great and checked that they were expecting us.TCD don't advertise Parkway but the romms were absolutely fantastic.
Minor niggle on return flight as went to check in at 1030 hrs to get rid of bags but nobody there and a Air 2000 flight was checking in and their rep was there so we had to be 'pushy' to get served.
But minor niggles and we will certainly use TCD again, but just wanted to put my version as I was extremely worried when I read other correspondence.
Also rode Mission Space took advice on forumn to turn up at 1600 hrs and Bingo it was open. Now it was good but in my opinion the hype is more than the ride!!thats only my opinion but certainly enjoyed.
Universal Studios was absolutel packed with wait time of 2 hrs fro Shrek and 75 mins for Jimmy Neutron which for older people not worth going on.
All Disney parks very quiet although we used Simonv tips for quiet days and as usual he was right.
Stayed on night in Royal Pacific so we cud take advantage of Universal express(room keys act as front of line pass)this was great as mentioned both parks exceedingly busy so this really helped as did 3 main rides within an hour plus then had opportunity to go back for a swim then go out for a meal and have a drink without having to get a taxi or drive.
Busch Gardens still one of my favourites and new R.L.Stine 4D was brilliant.
Any questions just shout.
And by the way as I gave a positive report on TCD I don't work for them.

Dan I am travelling with TCD on 7/8/03 and should be staying at Liki Tiki apartments so obviously I am interested in your being moved out of them. At what point did you find out about your being moved ? as our final invoice shows Liki Ticket (Ron Jon Resort). Did the reps at the airport not tell you about the move? What size were the apartments you were moved to? Were your flights on time? That will do for satrt I think.

Glad those niggles were few and you had a great trip - have you got over any jet lag yet?

Tell me more about the new R L Stine 4D attraction at Busch - that's one of our fave parks and the first we'll hit in October. Also, is Ali Akbar's still going there (my personal all time fave simulator ride - what a saddo!).

You must be very laid back, Dan - I'd have been majorly stressed!

Pleased to hear you got lucky with Mission: Space, and also quite relieved to hear someone say that maybe it doesn't live up to the hype (a bit scared, you see, and trying to look for an excuse not to ride!)

Staying onsite at USF is great isn't it? What did you think of RPR?

On the Like Tiki we booked it and the invoice came thru with Orbit One,but didn't pick this up to later !Our final invoice had Orbit One but only found out when we arrived there, which isn't what u want after long flight,(took off approx 45 minutes late and was delayed when arrived at Sandford by 10-15 minutes waiting for plane to pull off)
Reps at airport didn't try to contact us to advise us so it came as a bit of a suprise.Might be worth checking as the man at reception at Orbit One said that everybody wanted to stay at Liki Tiki. But I must stress that Parkway was lovely, big room with full kitchen one bedroom with a massive bed plus biggest jacuzzi bath I've seen, other bedroom 2 singles plus sofa bed in lounge.Pool nice but not massive but very helpfull staff. No doubt u will have the same problem that Guest Services will keep phoning you to try and get u to have breakfast/dinner so they can try to get u to buy a timeshare.Be firm and tell them to go away, unless u want to.
Ali Akbar - not sure as rain stopped us doing everything, but think it was there.
R.L.Stine usual 4D with water effects but film was entertaining and was humans instead of cartoons. As good as Shrek without the wait!
Mission Space - I was petrified as I always feel sick when I've been on simulator rides like Star Wars etc but didn't feel sick at all,so don't worry.
RPR - I liked the hotel but we squeezed 4 of us into the room with a rollaway bed so no space, plus the bath was the size of a thimble.

Body clock almost back to normal.I hope this answers your questions, but ask away.

Dan
I too am going with TCD (sunshine first) and staying at RPR next year.

Can you tell me about the flight, entertainment on board and the food? Did you have any kids with you and did they get any gifts to keep them amused!
Any comments would be useful

You mention the long queues at Universal but how long was the queue when you used FOTL?

Thanks
CJ

we went 'Upper Deck'but Sunshine First looked great.Huge seats with their own tv screen.
On upper deck normal size seats ,food not great.Going out Chicken or steak(tough)but chicken run out after about 6 people,so sit near the front !!Coming back same then a breakfast.
Normal airline food, but in First I'm sure u get more choice.Youngest is 13 so didn't get anything to amuse but i'm sure they were handing out a pack.
If u look on UD forumn or look under Loews website u can join their mambership club which means u can ask for a room upgrade,u probably won't get but u can try as its free.U also get a free gify eg wine and nuts,so ok for free.
Max wait with pass was 15 minutes so worth its weight in gold.We could have done all major rides in 1 day!
I hope this helps
