Back form OKW

Due to a lot of work upon return this trip report is a little late.
Went Home to OKW from 10/5 - 10/13. Got the perfect 2 br ground floor in bldg 41 (smoking bldg right next to turtle pond pool).
Room was ready at check in 12:45pm (all requests met - smoking, 1st floor , near turtle pond).
I inquired about my grandma who we were treating to a trip who was checking in the next day and was told she had been assigned the closest studio to us in the same building (I guess no room ready policy at OKW).
A few quick points.
Got a Welcome Home every time we entered through the security gate.
Spent lots a time at turtle pond pool / 1 day at main pool (maybe my imagination but main pool felt at least 5 degrees colder).
Went to MNSSHP party on 10/11 and my two daughters were chosen to be grand marshalls of the parade (they got to ride on a float with LILO and STITCH). Highlight for me the COP was open for the party.
Great Lunch at Alfredos.
Horrible Dinner at Brown Derby.
Noticed a lot of Security around the resort for the first time in 8 trips home. They even chased people out of the pool at 10:00.
We have always used the pool late (quietly of course) and have never seen this before.
All in all a perfect vacation as always.

Glad you had a fairly good trip. It's funny, Mom & I loved Brown Derby & hated Alferdos. We were there last May.

Horrible dinner at Brown Derby??? We ate there and had a good dinner, albeit an expensive one! I wonder if it was just an off night or did they change chefs or something?

Glad you had what sounds like a good vacation. We'll be there in 17 days(but who's counting????? ).

Horrible dinner at Brown Derby??? BD is one of our favorite restaurants for both lunch and dinner. I hope that things haven't changed because my DW and I have PS's for lunch on our next trip in a few weeks.

DDs chosen to be Grand Marshalls in the parade--how special! This is true Disney magic to it's best! I am sure the girls were thrilled, I know I would have been, LOL!
I am glad to hear you had a great trip, thanks for sharing!
We are also big fans of BD and it is a must do almost every trip, I hope you just hit them on a bad day and this is not a sign of the future.
I did not eat at BD when I was last at WDW 3 weeks ago but I did eat there over Memorial Day week end, and it was excellent. I do have a PS for lunch at BD in a couple of weeks, I hope it is as good as usual.
