Hi everyone,

We just got back on Tuesday after a fantastic 17 days :guilty:
That was just two days ago and already we want to plan our next trip, what is it with this place!!!!!! I am going to ATTEMPT for the first time to compile a trip report - I tried to be good and keep notes but I am afraid I got carried away by everything and that soon fell by the wayside so it will be down to mine and DH memory mostly :rolleyes1

Also,

I have a question... If for example someone wanted to plan a week trip some time in April but do it on the cheap, which airlines would you suggest offer the best budget flights? I have only ever flown Virgin so am not sure what else is out there. I had a quick look on the Thomson site and they had flights in january for £161 each! Would this be just the flights and no food/entertainment? Can you pay extra for this and if so do you end up paying as much as you would on "non budget" airline?

Many thanks.

£161 - wow that's cheap.

Thomson are fine, you'll have to pay for a meal (£10 each way probably) and for your drinks but entertainment is probably free (although may not be seat back TVs).

April will be busier so you might not get anything that cheap. The American airlines are usually cheaper than the British ones but I dont think any of them fly direct to Orlando.

I would try the usual web-sites such as Expedia and then the airline sites (BA, Virgin). For charter flights www.flightline.co.uk sometimes has decent prices.

I have to say that Virgin normally works out cheapest for us for the flight and we save money by not booking the accomodation/car through them

we done a cheap holiday last Oct flydrive less then £300 for the both of us this was with airtours car insurcene extra we stayed in the allstarsports for $70 per night AP discount
flight was fine
sanford airport a night mare on the way back
keep an eye out on the flighys and if you can go when a deal comes up go for it

Welcome Back

Yippee looking forward to the trip reports, Looking forward to seeing your countdown to April :)
