Just got back and found out that dh has been made reduntant, just what we need right before Xmas.

So sorry about this...my DH was laid-off before Christmas one year. That really sucks . Another year he was doing free-lance consulting and the checks were really lagging behind of when the work was done...like TWO months. Ack, that was a stressful time.

I hope something better turns up *SOON*.

Thanks for all the nice messages. We have rung some agencies and hopefully he will find something soon. He spoke to his work and they said they lost a big contract and quite a few have been made redundant, they also said when the work picks up they will call him to see if he wants to go back.

I got laid off on Christmas Eve one year (totally out of the blue) but it ended up being the best thing that could have happened to me career wise.
