Bachlorette...OMG OMG OMG OMG....SPOILER!!

When it was brought out that Charlie was "just like all the other guys" Trista had dated, I wondered if she might pick Ryan because he was different. I mean, all those other guys "didn't work out" for some reason, so Charlie wouldn't work out either probably.

I thought the same thing, immediately. If she was that attracted to Ryan, maybe trying out something different is exactly what she needs. As a Miami Heat dancer, I have to wonder how many "Charlies" used her just for her looks and because she was a dancer. A "Ryan" probably wouldn't have had the guts to approach her before.

Am I the only one that doesn't think Ryan is good looking? I don't find him even remotely attractive - personality, looks, nothing. And my gosh, that hair...you would have thought he'd get it at least cut before going on tv.

I absolutely agree!!

Isn't Charlie the one that needs a haircut?! LOL! I mean the only thing he could do with it was slick it back! Watch out marine animals because if he jumps in the ocean we may have an ecological disaster on our hands! :teeth:

Although the two guys were very different I actually liked both of them. I think Trista would have done well with either choice. I was surprised though -- I thought she was more into Charlie.

Trista & Ryan were just on Good Morning America and they look very happy!

They said they watched the show together last night while eating pizza. Ryan said he was starving but when he saw the part where she told Charlie goodbye he couldn't eat anymore. They also talked to Charlie last night on the phone. Trista said she never fell in love with Charlie and felt like he didn't love her either.

They can't discuss whether they are planning a wedding because I guess that will be revealed tonight.

Ryan said everyone kept consoling him and telling him he was going to be alright (before last night's episode aired) because everyone was so sure he wasn't picked. He said it was a very easy secret to keep because no one thought it was going to be him. He said even if he had told people he won they still would have been saying "yeah right, you'll be fine."

Trista said they are long distance dating right now but she'll either move to Colorado or him to Calif. and she wants him to continue being a firefighter. Charlie will be on tomorrow.

I honestly didn't find Ryan attractive until last night. I thought he was sort of goofy too, and wondered what in the world did she see in him...

Well, last night I saw what she saw in him. She saw a sensitive, caring man who truly adored her. Cute, who cares??? I've HAD the cutest, the suavest "Charlie-esque" guys in the world and I'd shoot them all to get to a Ryan! Cute is alright when you're young but Trista turned that magic number during the game, THIRTY, and she is ready for the real thing. I think we all get there after dating enough frogs!

I missed the part where she told Charlie he wasn't the one because I had to pick DS up from basketball practice. When I came back she was talking to Ryan. I just knew she was going to dump him and I didn't want him to cry then my other DS told me she already dumped Charlie. I was so shocked. She does have good taste after all.

i have always liked ryan better but until last night i was sure she was going to pick charlie. ryan really seems like he cares more about her. i wish them the best.

Another one here that was shocked that she picked Ryan. I just thought she had so much more in common with Charlie. She seemed much too high maintenance for Ryan and he seemed too sensitive for Trista. I honestly pictured him with a much simpler down-to-earth gal. He is adorable, though, and if I hear she ends up dumping him to go back to LA and Hollywood, I'll be mad.

Ryan not cute? Blasphemy! I think he is adorable, plus he is a sweetie.

Then again, I never liked the bad boy type. Give me someone who will be easy to grow old with, rather than someone who will make me old before my time, any day of the week. :)

AMEN! I hear you, Snoopy!

I too think Ryan is thoughtful, romantic and adorable - and he definitely would have been my choice, although Charlie certainly has his positive traits as well. Was it Trista's stepmom that described Charlie as a Renaissance Man - interesting observation. I had tingles up my spine when she told Charlie her heart had led her in a different direction - my jaw dropped to the floor!

Bet they move to CA - Trista didn't think much of the cold weather - although once she discovers how to play in the snow, perhaps she will like it. They will be an interesting couple to follow.

Wimpy??? I have never met a "wimpy" firefighter--man or woman. Sensative maybe but there is no possible way he is wimpy.
I thought both men were handsome. Totally different looks but handsome just the same (yes, Charlie needs a new do LOL). You all are a tough bunch when it comes to looks. :p

I think Ryan is wonderful....I'm hoping these two last...as the Bachelors' don' t seem to be picking there mate for life....not even a year....Maybe a girl doing the choosing makes the difference....I wish them luck and happiness...:D :D

Coming from someone who married a "Ryan" wimpy is definatly a bad choice of words. My DH would stand up and fight for me and his family at the drop of a hat, BUT he doesn't go out and look for fights and he doesn't like controversy at all. Hes very romantic and very much a one woman man (would have been no matter who he married.) He devotes his entire life to me and J.C. and there has never been a doubt in my mind that we come first. He comes home from work at 5 everyday, if hes going to be late for whatever reason he calls and tells me (I don't ask him to do this, he just does). His check goes directly into our account ever 2 weeks and if he needs something he tells me so I can see whether we can afford it or not. He never says a bad word about anyone even those that its obvious he doesn't like. He trys his best to give everybody the benefit of the doubt. After 14 years of being together he still wants to snuggle each and every night regardless of whether or not sex is involved (I know TMI but I'm on a roll). He always writes me little notes even on a scrap piece of paper. So much of what Ryan said to Trista reminded me of John. I can say this much even thought the "bad boys" can be very appealing, the Ryan's of the world definatly make the best husbands. I have never had one single regrett about following my heart and staying with DH. If Trista stays with Ryan I truly believe she will have the kind of forever marriage she says she has always wanted. I just hope the celebrity status doesn't take over her life.

Obviously Ryan and Charlie are pretty different people, but I don't think either a 'bad boy' or not. I doubt Ryan is a 'wimpy' person with his job and all, but I don't think that a person needs to like the bad boy type to not like Ryan. I would have to say from what we've seen of each of the guys, my DH is more like Ryan than Charlie, but I still don't like Ryan (his looks AND personality were just kindof blah to me). But as its said, theres someone for everyone. If I was in Trista's place, I don't think Charlie or Ryan would have been in the final 2 even to have a discussion about.

At first I thought that Charlie was the "right" choice for her but then as he was walking through the house and they were playing an audio tape of him, he said he "hoped to fall in love with Trista and have a family." So he wasn't ALREADY in love with her. That's when I knew she had better pick Ryan! I think Charlie was a bit over confident (read as full of himself).

Hey, just watched the special they had with Aaron and Helene and the last 15 minutes were Ryan and Trista, with a surprise visit from Charlie.

I've changed my mind about Ryan, he is a good match for her and I hope they make it. And, Charlie, I've even got a bigger fascination about him! What a standup guy! I'd love to see him as the next Bachelor but he even admitted that he wouldn't be able to completely fall in love in such a short period of time. (Ah, well!)

I can't even comment on Aaron and Helene. They were nauseating, to say the least. It's a good thing they ended their relationship.

I also watched the special with Trista & Ryan on last night and have a few comments.

I agree now that they do make a good couple...they can wear matching thong sandles together (did anyone else notice Ryan was wearing them, and how ridiculous he looked?)

Did anyone also know how when the host asked Ryan a question, Trista either laughed, as if she knew the answer and how he felt, or answered for him. We couldn't believe one of the questions she kept going on and they didn't even ask her. Ryan should probably get used to this.

Also, even though Ryan may have been/be in love with her, and she in love with him, I don't understand how much she could have loved him when she chose him, if she was still deciding between him and Charlie. Just my opinion.

I thought Charlie was a class-act last night and very honest in his statement about not falling in love that fast.

Also wondered why Ryan was wearing those shoes on national television. I hope he and Trista make it, but not convinced they will.

I felt bad for Helene, I guess she was more naive than she ever let on. I don't know what to think about Aaron, he seemed a lot different to me than he did when he was on the show, and not in a flattering way.

I agree about Helene and Aaron. She did appear quite naive and EXTREMELY insecure about their relationship right from the get-go. This probably has as much to do with them trying for a long-distance relationship and then having to keep things secret for so long. Aaron did not come off as well as he did in the regular show. HOWEVER, I do think it is a good thing they broke up. Helene needs someone who can make her feel secure.

Regarding Ryan and Trista. I think Ryan is a very nice guy, but Trista is high-maintenance and is going to wear the pants in the relationship. She really skirted the issue of where they were going to live ... I think, if they stay together, it will be in California.

I do not care for Trista and her "baby talk", etc.; however, if Ryan enjoys being the puppy dog in a relationship, it may just work!
