Bachelor Jake -- no-spoiler thread

Am I the only one who thinks that Jake is in over his head. By that, I mean that he seems very confused and out of his element. The guy seems like he needs a break and has to take some chill pills. Ever since the Roslyn episode, Jake has been different. Maybe it's all the alcohol they drink on the show. Do they even drink water ever? Could be dehydration (obviously I am being TIC there).

The show just seems to have changed a large amount ever since the Roslyn thing because I think Jake really liked her ... or at least the look of her. I won't be shocked if Jake makes some really bad decisions in the upcoming episodes. Also, I wish the show could expose more of the bad side of Vienna that everyone keeps talking about. I wonder why they aren't covering that situation much considering all the girls keep talking about how evil she is? Also, does anyone else find it strange that he keeps voting off all the girls who speak badly of Vienna. I guess Ali and Corrie are about to get the door because they keep talking badly about Vienna too.

Ditto. I'm ashamed to admit I lumped Gia and Rozlyn together at the beginning. Professional models probably only in it for the publicity. But I'm really liking Gia now.

Ali's done a 180. She's got that messy hair going on lately, too. She's letting Vienna get to her too much and acting a little nutso about it. I don't like Vienna at all, but gosh, you just have to let it go, Ali!

I still like Tenley, but I don't know how long that will last. She sure came across as a self-centered airhead just before the 2 on 1 date, and she said something about saying goodbye because "we don't know if we'll ever see you again", all perky and then a big giggle afterwards. Have some tact, woman! Giggling about it when you're sitting there with a rose in your hand!

I was surprised when Jessie talked to Jake about Vienna. I think I had heard so few words come out of her mouth, I wasn't expecting her to be as confident and matter-of-fact as she was. I thought she was more of a giggly Gia. Like someone said, Jake seems to be looking for a little girly type, so it wan't a surprise that he let Jessie go -- and yea, the friend comment, that said it all.

How smart was he when he played the Jessie card with Jillian???? He did the same exact thing as they are, only when a guy does it it's being honorable and when a woman does it "she's JEALOUS"...

Same story, getting old.

Oh, but he was the big man, protecting the little lady from the bad guy, so I'll bet he thinks that was OK.

I'm liking Jake less and less. Some of the things he's said (and I don't even remember specifics, so please don't ask! ) seem so sexist and old-fashioned. Fine if that's what you want, but that's not my cup of tea.

It seems that everytime a former choosee becomes a chooser she/he becomes less likeable!!! Man, I can't believe I EVER liked Jason OR Jillian! Jake is a nice looking man but doesn't have ANY sex appeal in my opinion. I can't imagine he's that much fun one on one.

Yeah ... I accidentally read a spoiler last week when I was trying to find info about the pregnancy scare. It really doesn't make it as much fun. I was thinking about moving over to the Spoilers thread but that one is not as active as this one. Probably because it's not as much fun knowing what's going to happen .

I THINK Ali likes YELLOW?

I said the same thing last night. I bet if you opened up her closet, you'd see a whole wardrobe of yellow. Yellow's nice...I guess.

I really don't get why the girls HATE Vienna so much. I mean, I know she's been annoying, but I don't see where the vitriol is coming from. They HATE her.

Last season, Wes clearly got the villain edit. So, it made more sense when some of the guys didn't like him.

But with Vienna, I don't get it.

That's how I feel watching it, but there's so much they're editing out. I think it creates that conflict...we end up having a love/hate relationship with ALL the girls.

OK, I am officially annoyed. I think what Jake is doing to Vienna is totally unfair. If you are willing to listen to all the bad stuff everyone else is saying about her and believe it then send her home! The ladies are treating her horribly and Jake is making it worse by buying into it.

There are a lot of people who didn't like my DH when we started dating and if I would have listened to what they had to say it would have ruined our relationship. I didn't care what other people thought - I cared about HIM. I was right, 8 years later he is an amazing husband and father. I'm not saying Vienna would turn out to be a great wife but she deserves to be judged on how Jake feels about her, not on all the bad stuff the girls say about her.

I don't think Jake is listening to the girls and believing it. I think he's just taking it all in, including judging the girls for the fact that they ARE saying things to him about Vienna. I think he is judging Vienna on his time with her...he kind of advised her to ease up on what she says around the other girls tho. She seems to have the fun adventurous side that he likes.

Has a contestant ever been this villianized by the other contestants on a season of the Bachelor?

When Dr Travis Stork was on (the Dr now on "The Doctors"), Moana was the house villain that no one liked. She got down to the final two, and he chose Sarah. I don't think they even made it to the After the Rose Show together, did they? (There was NO spark between Travis and Sarah the whole season.)

I don't know--this seems to be the ditziest group of girls EVER. I cannot stand Gia's laugh and think she is totally wrong for him. Tenley seems nice but a little naive and sacharine-ly sweet. Can't stand Ali--she is totally a bully and bs-er. Corrie is a phoney-baloney. I actually liked Vienna at first, but she's really annoying these last few episodes. He's just not that into you, honey.

I don't know why I watch this show, now that I think of it.
