Bachelor Jake -- no-spoiler thread

It seems like I am in the minority, but I like Jake and I don't think he's boring. I think he's very attractive and seems to be more authentic than other bachelors. No, there is not a lot of made-up drama this season except for everyone hating Vienna. IMO, that's a good thing. How many times have we made fun of the "The most dramatic Bachelor episode EVER!" promos?

He's attractive and seems genuine but that does not equal interesting in my book... I feel like we know nothing about him other than him being a pilot... He doesn't seem particularly witty or clever.... snoozer central...

I think he's adorable and very good looking but his constant talking about being a no date geek sort of makes me see that side of him more than anything. He doesn't seem to be too confident either, seems to like women who are girly or will nurture him. That's sort of a turn off to me. Complete men like complete women.

I agree that Bachelor Jake is attractive and seems to have a good head on his shoulders, but it seems like something isn't right. This is not a mark against him, this is a mark against the show. I think he is being used as a puppet by the producers, and you can kind of see that he isn't good at going along with what the producers want him to do. You can almost see it in his eyes and his mannerisms that he is holding something back.

Also, after hearing about the Rozlyn Papa incident and how it could have been a set up, it seems possible that the producers are manipulating everything.

I think that's what all the bachelors are looking for. The *always* get rid of the smart girls in favor of the pretty vivacious ones.

I agree with you. I like Jake. I liked him on the Bachelorette, but was very surprised when they made him the new Bachelor. I didn't think he would do it. To me, he seems to really want to have the happily ever after that Trista and Ryan found. There is a lady I work with who thinks he's a goober and I agree, but I still like him.

It's funny though - I don't think I have heard them use that phrase this season but I do think some of these rose ceremonies/dates/etc have been very dramatic. I even told my husband they could get away with using that phrase this season.

Yes. The rumor is that she was forced to go home because she made a stink about not seeing her son (7-year old, I think) as per the agreement with the show. Rumor also has it that Emma's kid-date with Jake was supposed to belong to Rozlyn and her son.
