Bachelor Jake -- no-spoiler thread

Do any of you get the feeling that this will be another Bachelor who picks no one? He say's he is looking for a wife, but I cannot honestly see him with any of the 5 women left.

Ok partway watching the latest episode - Jessie almost seems like a plant who's going to turn out to be an old friend of Jake to advise him on what the girls are like without him around, there doesn't seem to be any romantic connection between those two but they seem to be familiar all the same - sort of wierd vibe.

I think Vienna's getting the short end of the stick from those other girls!

When he was on Ellen,he did make a comment that he (Or the bachelor/bachelorette)doesnt have to pick anyone:confused3

I absolutely think this!
I don't think he has a true match on the show. None of the girls really seem right for him.

That's right ... because he's MINE! ALL MINE! :lovestruc

Shoot! I forgot I was married and almost old enough to be his mom again. *sigh*

I think one of the aspects of The Bachelor[ette] that makes it non conducive to finding someone is the first episode where they are forced to get rid of so many people. There were some women he trashed in the first episode that could have made a deeper connection with him. I know that I wouldn't be able to be myself within the first few hours of entering an odd environment like the Bachelor.

Imagine. You get all dolled up, you show up to this huge mansion in a limo, you have this microphone stapped to your body, you meet this guy who is reall attractive, there are cameras all over the place, and there are 20+ other women there vieing for the same guy as you. I don't think anyone can truly be themselves in that environment. Now, if they girls could become acclaimated to the situation for a day or so, they may be more like themselves. In other words, less cheesy one-liners on the first night.

Just my 2 cents ...

I agree.

I also think they should at least have on women who've got something in common with him...like out of a field of women who apply, choose those most compatible with him, not necessarily those who would make for a more dramatic show. But then what fun is that, I guess. There might be less drama, but more success, altho I think actually finding him a wife isn't a real high priority. Like on those seasons when the bachelor is super athletic and outdoorsy, and there are "indoor girls" on the show...it ain't gonna work!

Joining in late on this conversation, but am I the only one who finds Jake dull? I mean, he's good looking, has a good job....but that really seems to be about it to me.:confused3 I've been married for almost 17 years, and I know it takes more than looks to keep things going! :rotfl:

I find him unbearably dull... and I've been engaged 6 times!! BOY does it take more than looks!!! :rotfl2:

Nope. Me too. ::yes:: I thought so from the Bachelorette season. And the whole "I was always such a loser with women" routine just makes me want to bring him home for some cookies and milk and Lifesavers candy, not date (etc) him.

Yawn, I can't stay awake watching. I think the women are dull too!
Too bad he sent that crazy girl home. I'm about 2 shows behind. I stopped watching right when he told her to leave-I thought, 'oh well then, this is going to be boooooorrring!'

I can't believe any of the girls are "falling for him"....really?? He seems like a snoozer to me...
