YES YES AND YES!!!!!

So we just got back with our 2.5 and 6 month old Baby wearing with a good carrier was the best thing done. I was able to get on the bus and still deal with our son as well made going through security much nicer. I was able to have our son in the stroller and baby on me and go through no bags and my husband take the bag through.

Also helped when standing in some of the lines.

I didn't carry at all with my son but I have with my daughter and it helped big time for our first kids trip. Towards the end I was starting to hurt but I also have some issues anyway.

So for those who aren't sure or are new to carrying it really paid off the price for a good carrier in the parks.

I will second this. I carried my daughter in an Ergo at 18m for our trip, and it was the best!

Just take into account the weather - babywearing in the summer may not be as easy as in the spring or fall.

Thanks!! I will be bringing my 7mo son for our first trip as a new family, and I was worried about baby wearing. We will have our stroller (City Mini GT) with us so he can lay out and get naps, but I wondered about using the carrier in the heat in August. We have a Tula. What type of carrier were you using??

I was using an baby ergo original. I live down here in FL and wear her to go to the store or other things and as long as they are short things or in AC we didn't have any issues. I would wear her on the bus to help w/ our son and a few lines but we were in AC for most of those. We had our stroller too so she wasn't always on me cause by the 4th day i was starting to hurt a bit.

Baby Ergo is very similar to a tula as far as material/thickness and now the baby is situated. I'll be sure to rotate using the carrier vs the stroller. We are going for 10 days, so I really don't want to be miserable using it. Thanks for the advice!!

Actually, on a few hot days recently at Disney, I was genuinely concerned about a few infants. Don't think some mommies understand the combined heat of both bodies snugly wrapped as well!! Just imagine yourself being swaddled against a hot person in that heat.

We also had frog toggs so i had one of those on her when she was in the stroller.

I just got a frog toggs for our September trip from a tip off here. I plan on wearing my daughter in our Lillebaby airflow for lines and when we won't have our stroller. Glad it worked well for you!

I would say it depends on the age of the kid. My son is 18 months and there was NO WAY I was carrying 30 lbs of squirmy toddler strapped to my back when it was 95 degrees last week! I got sweaty enough with just the backpack (which we did not pack all the way full). He spent most of the time in the stroller and we never got in any lines more than 10 minutes long. We did carry him short distances. If I'd had a smaller baby who couldn't walk, I definitely would consider it though.
