Hello, have used baby swap before and it was great, however next year our situation is different. At last DD is tall enough to ride Splash, Thunder and some other stuff, however next summer we will have our 16 month old son with us. If say DH took DD on Splash, if we did baby swap, would they only let me swap so that I have to ride by myself or would I be able to take DD on with me, so effectively she gets to ride twice. Innocent question, no flames, its not that I especially want DD to have more goes, would just be nice if me or DH didn't have to ride alone.

I haven't used it but from all that I have read that sounds right that your DD could ride again with you

Yes, baby swaps are for up to 3 people so your DD can ride twice:thumbsup2

We used it a few years ago one of us would que with the 2 kids while we waited with baby then when they finished I would use the ticket they gave before we qued and take the kids again so they used to get 2 goes each time think you can use it anytime that day and you go in the fast pass que

Yes you can take your child back on with you so they get two rides. My eldest DS was devestated when youngest DS reached 40inches as he loved the double rides!

:rotfl2: As if having a younger sibling isn't bad enough - they then have to grow.

Did child swap this week at IOA as our youngest DD didn't want to ride Harry Potter. I went on with eldest DD first and then she went on again with DH :thumbsup2

Ali.

My partner hates rides, and so does our 11 year old niece... but the 8 year old and the 15 year old love them...

I just really wouldn't be comfortable leaving the 8 year old at any point should I then want to ride with the eldest.

Is there any way of us queueing up with my Partner and the 11 year old (neither of which would want to ride), and them he and Jasmine stepping to the side with the 8 year old so I take a go with the 15 year old and then we swap and I go on again with the 8 year old?

I sound really greedy! I promise I'm not. I'd be just as happy for one of the girls to ride twice instead of me - but it would be the same problem of leaving one of the girls by themselves whilst I take a turn with one of them!

Aaah. I made that sound really complicated!! Basically, would it be possible to ensure that three of us (one adult - me, and two children) get to ride, one of us needing to go twice, whilst also ensuring that before we swap one of the children has an adult to wait with?

It's all very confusing to me.... They've never been old enough for something like this to be an issue before!

Why don't you put the 8 & 15 year old together and you ride behind?

We are a family of 4 - so if end up in my own shuttle on space mountain with DH, DD & DS in their own I am not in the photo - I would not be able to hold back and have my kids ride again with me without queuing again just so i could have a turn with them.

Whilst you may find a helpful CM you'll find the child swap is there to assist those who are not big enough to ride - rather than those with bigger children opting out or indeed, in your case, trying to manage party size logistics.

But to be honest, certainly in Disney, I can think of very few rides where you would even have this problem - In fact Toy Story Mania is the only attraction where it is not as fun to be a lone rider (part of the fun is the competition) but I am sure that ride will have more family members participating!

Which rides are you concerned about?
