question...
we will be going to Epcot next month...my son might make the 40 in requirement for Test Track...but my daughter is only 1 years old so she's definitely out.

So my question is....Can I send my husband and my son to ride while I hang out with my daughter and then can we swap and me take my son to ride again?

Yes! What you need to do is go up to the CM working at the head of the line, show her that you have a small child and ask for the baby swap. They will then give you a card that works like a fastpass. Your DH and son will ride through the standby line, and when they get out, you can go with your son through the fastpass line.

It works really well, but most CM will need to see the baby before they hand over the card, so make sure she is nearby.

Correct me if I am misunderstanding...

So we all go through the line together...and when we get to the loading area (or rather that first CM who take a group to see the pre-show) and then we get the baby swap ticket?

Nope. Your family presents itself to CM outside the ride, show the baby and ask for a switch pass. Your husband and son ride (either in standby or with FPs if they have them). You and the little one get a snack, rest, play, whatever and then you meet up with son and DH after they exit the ride. At that point, you and son both get to go back through the FP line with the switch pass anytime before the park closes that day.
Have fun!! :thumbsup2

No, you get it at the head of the line. The baby won't be able to enter the line.

Keep this in mind - a lot of the bigger rides have gift shop/activity areas at the exits. Once you show the baby to the CM at the entrance and get your FP whoever is waiting with the baby can go inside at the exit and wait there. It is usually cooler, darker and quieter than waiting outside the entire attraction. This helps a lot especially on those rare occassions when the little one is napping in the stroller.

Last time my DD was too short so we got the rider swap pass and then she and I did Living with the Land while we waited. When my DH and son got off and I went with my DS my DH and daughter walked over to the Seas pavillion and then we met them there when the ride was over so she had something fun to do to pass the time.

:goodvibes
