baby swap question

if baby is asleep in the stroller, is there an area to wait over to the side near a ride exit where i could switch off w/ my husband (husband stay w/ stroller then i go to ride) or do i have to wait in line w/ the baby & physically hand the baby off to him? thanks.

The babyswap is very easy now - and you can absolutely leave baby asleep in the stroller. The only "catch" is that you will have to stroll over to the line FP or regular as the CM will only give out the child swap pass with a "non-rider" present. Once you get the child swap pass make plans with dh to meet somewhere and get yourself an ice cream (margherita for me at Epcot) and relax while baby sleeps. Anytime that day you can return to ride with the child swap pass while dh waits with baby. The child swap pass is good for up to 3 people. You don't have to bring the baby back when using the child swap pass - just when you are getting one.

My advice is to check with each CM before entering the line - either fp or sb and ask what the procedure is.

At Star Tours they had us all get in line. I didnt have a very young baby with my just a 2 y/o who was too short for the ride. They have benches inside that you wait on.

Make sure you ask (and sometimes reask ) at each ride for the policy. The last time we went, we asked at Test Track and we were told to switch inside. We stood in line and waited with our then 18 month DD and when we got up to the end of the line were they tell you which room line to go in the cm working was not very nice and friendly about telling us we should have gotten a ticket to switch outside and come through the fast pass line. Thank goodness we were with other people and one of them really wasn't looking forward to riding and she went out the chicken exit with my DD so we could ride. That is when we started asking at each ride at least twice to make sure we were doing it right.

so it's sounds like you get the pass outside of the ride then reenter w/ the pass for up to 3 people using the fastpass lane..i'll be sure to ask the first CM i see at each ride for their policy - but ideally, i'll know now to be looking to obtain a baby swap pass outside of the ride. we'll have a 6 mo. & 2 y.o. w/ us so we may use this option at some point. thanks.

It is SOOOO nice. Having been with my DS1 3 times already we really appreciate this! We also have a DD5. We wouldn't have had nearly as nice of a time if it weren't for baby swap.
