Hi All - We are staying at GF and arriving Sept 6. We decided on ordering through diapers.com for our diapers, formula and baby food jars. Does anyone have a delivery address for GF? Also does anyone now how early they will accept the package? I want to make sure it is there when we arrive. Is there a number I can call at GF to confirm its arrival? We have one complimentary stop with our car service, but Im worried that if the store they take us to doesn't carry the products we need we'd be in trouble.

If you order through either www.gardengrocer.com or www.wegoshop.com you won't need the address; they're familiar with the Disney resorts and deliver there on a regular basis. Plus there's the added bonus of being able to order bottled water or breakfast stuff for the room.

Should you not choose that route, here's the address:

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
4401 Grand Floridian Way
Lake Buena Vista, FL, 32830-1000
407-824-3000

I recommend using one of the delivery services mentioned in the earlier post. We are using wegoshop.com on our trip later this month. She will shop at any store you prefer and will meet you at your room after you check in. You just pay her the actual costs on the receipt along with a delivery fee of $17.00 for up to $100.00 of items purchased and $22.00 for up to $200.00 of merchandise. Friends of mine have also used gardengrocer.com and were very happy with them- I think their delivery fee is around $12. Their website is very nice, but after comparing their prices with Walmart's for the items we needed, the prices seem inflated and we decided wegoshop.com was a better option (eg. gardengrocer cases of water were about 3-4 dollars a case higher than the store cost). Either way, you will probably save money over shipping heavy items to the resort, plus you don't have to worry about searching for a package at the resort (and pray it hasn't been delayed or lost) or wasting precious vacation time at a grocery store.

Thanks Iam712! I guess my problem is not knowing the stores in the area and if they carry what we need or not. Any suggestions on how to handle this? My main concern is the formula. We'd like these 8 oz. cases of ready to feed cans (perfect for the parks) I know Target carries it by us, but Im not sure about there....

Call Marge at wegoshop. She will buy the brand you request in the size you request. She'll ask whether you'll allow substitutions, and will let you know if she's having trouble filling your request.

Subscribing! After reading about wegoshop.com, I thought they would be the better choice, and maybe they will be, but I just checked out their site and here's what I found regarding additional delivery fees. In our case, we'll have to tack on an additional 13% for credit card and bell services fees since we won't know until we get there what room we'll be in and I don't know that we'll want to hang around the room until the delivery gets there. If I did the math correctly, a $50.00 would end up costing $73 with shopping/delivery/credit card/bell services fees. Ouch!

"Please Note: The above rates and fees apply to local residents and vacationers staying inside of Disney World Resorts and are cash / check discount prices. Please add an additional 3% of grocery total for any other payment option. The shop & delivery fee is one fee, there is not a seperate shop fee and a seperate delivery fee. Please Click Here For Our Return Policy.

A gratuity of 10% of the grocery total will be added to all orders that are left at bell services. "

When I needed to ship formula to our resort, I just called the resort and asked them how I should address the package. I'm not sure which formula you use, but you may be able to have it shipped directly from the formula company. DS was on Nutramigen, which is made by Enfamil. It can be hard to find and the ready to feed is not sold in stores, just though Enfamil's website. I called Enfamil and they helped me figure out which day to place the order so that it would be shipped in time for our arrival at the resort (I ordered it one day earlier than I had to, just to be safe). A couple of days before our arrival, I faxed the resort to let them know that a package would be arriving in our name. Both times I did this we had no problems and the package was waiting for us when we arrived.

For diapers, wipes, baby food, snacks, etc, I always use GardenGrocer.

Have a great trip!

I talked to Marge about our delivery and she is planning on delivering about 2 hours after we land in Orlando. She wants me to call her when we check in to give her our room number and she will bring the items there to meet us. We will be paying her with a check so there is no extra fee other than the $17.00 fee for the first $100 of items and an extra $5 if our order totals up to $200. She will even shop at multiple shops (we had considered sending her for some items at a Sam's Club) for an extra $5.

I called her to inquire about the availability of an item and she checked on one of her shopping trips and called me back to let me know it was available at the local Walmart. For one item, I went to Walmart's website, found the store number and called directly to see if it was available. I assume you could call the local Target to see if they carry the formula you need and then let Marge know.

You could buy it all at home, too, and ship it from where you live. Then its there waiting for you when you arrive :) It works SLICK!

That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to buy my baby items, some water, wine, a few snacks, and a few suprises for the kids and ship them myelf a few days before we leave. It will be there for us when we get there and the kids will get a kick out of opening their box of goodies. I also would not want to have to wait around on someone to come to my room. Am I understanding that correctly? When you check in, you call them and then they come to your room? How long would that take? I know when I get there, I'm ready to get going. Would hate to have to wait on someone bringing my diapers???

From my understanding, if you don't want to pay the credit card fee of 3% and the bell services drop off fee of 10%, then yes, you would have to call wegoshop.com when you arrive at your room and wait for them to deliver the items.

I haven't decided on what we're doing yet, but does anyone have Marge's number so I can give a call. Thanks again everyone!

I will also give Marge at www.wegoshop.com a plug. We have used her in the past. What is nice is that she doesn't have a set list for you to pick from - you create your own list - brands, size, etc. She will go to wherever you want her to shop for you. Happy with Target or Walmart she will shop there. Prefer a local grocery store - she will go there also. The other thing about her is you pay for the cost of the food. So, if milk is on sale that week - you get the sale price. When you take that into consideration - it does come into the same pricing as others.

Diapers.com now has 2 day delivery. Free on orders over $49. I ordered all my baby stuff on Monday and it was delivered on Wednsday. We will be arriving on Monday. For everything else I ordered from wegoshop. But this way I don't have to pay the extra fees for wegoshop.

You don't have to wait around for them. You set up a delivery time and she comes whatever time you have decided. You can do it after you arrive or wait until the evening. Whatever works for you. We arrive late at night on Monday so she is coming on Tuesday @ 10 am. She just asked for me to call and give her our room number before then.

But aren't you then having to wait around on Tuesday for them to deliver at 10am? Unless you're paying the credit card and bell services fees...
