baby sitters?

has anyone ever used the in room baby sitting? we are going in 2 weeks and our little one is not happy with late nights. we are staying at a disney onsite hotel.

I think it is only one of those things where they listen in on each room every now and then via some sort of monitor type thing, no-one is actually sitting in the room with your kids and even the listneing in isn't done often. I personally wouldn't feel very comfortable with leaving my child and she is 5!

yes - i'm not sure about that. my kids are only quiet when they are getting up to mischief. i'm sure they could drown in the bath very quietly!

No doubt there will be some parents who use it though. I just couldn't especially after the maddie Mcann case!

I am unsure as to whether it means a genuine babysittter or not, I am sure I read in sequoia lodge it is just they listen in on all the phones in the room to check on the kids if they are crying they will get in touch with parents.

Even so if it maybe that they do infact offer genuine real babysitters i couldn't leave my child at home with a stranger never mind on holiday.

the thing is, when we stayed in a tiny town in greece everyone knew everyone and the babysitters were really great (and grateful not to sit for couples out for loads of ) but you just don't know who you'll get unless they use an amazing fandangulous vetted CRB checked etc agency.
but it'd be lovely to have a meal without the children.

maybe us DISers should all buddy up and swap babysitting duties - we're all lovely!
