baby shower please help!!!

Hi! I'm going to give a co-worker a baby shower on sunday and I need budget minded baby shower games. Thanks for your help.

Buy about 8 different jars of baby food (different colors/shades - carrots, pears, spinach, peas, etc.)
Take off all of the labels & number the jars.
Give everyone a pencil & paper numbered 1-8.
Everyone tries to guess what kind of baby food is in each jar & writes down their guesses.
NO smelling or tasting allowed!!
Whoever guesses the most correctly wins!

Fill a large baby bottle with jelly beans & have people try to guess how many are in the bottle. Closest person wins!

This one only works if they have a name picked out.. take the first, middle and last names and see how many words you can make using the letters only once. Whoever has the most words wins a prize (candy bar..)

A cool thing to do is to take a bingo sheet with all empty squares, and have all the guests write down an item in every box that they think the mother-to-be will receive. As she opens her gifts, the guests cross out anything she receives that they wrote down. Standard bingo rules and all, whoever gets 5 in a row diagonal, across or up and down, wins a prize.

As other posters said, I was thinking of the baby food game and the how many words can you make from the baby's name game. Another one is to let each guest tear off a piece of toilet paper that they think will fit around the mothers belly. Whoever is closest is the winner. You can also have chugging contests out of baby bottles.

You can do the poopy diaper game. Get diapers and spread mustard on the inside of one or however many you want - close the diapers up and hand them out to everyone, have everyone open up the diapers at the same time and whomever has the "dirty" diaper or diapers are the winners. Gross AND cute!!

There was a different poopy diaper at my shower...My SIL melted different chocolate bars into diapers and the guests had to guess the type of candy. It looked pretty gross, but everyone had fun.

I have also played a game with rice and small safety pins. You fill a bowl with rice and count the number of small gold safety pins that you put in. Each guest closes their eyes and feels in the bowl and guesses the number of pins.

Of course there is always the game that you have to take the amount of string or ribbon that will wrap perfectly around mom's belly, but make sure she won't be offended easily!

The last shower I was just at they had a bowl filled with uncooked white rice. They threw in the small gold safety pins and you had to w/ eyes closed see who could get the most pins in the time (Do for a minute or 2) It was really hard and cheap!

Buy baby bottles nipples and all. Have the mom to be and say the oldest mom of the group or the youngest lady of the group have a bottle sucking contest. See who can drink 6 oz of juice the fastest. Its painful on the throat muscles, I don't know how babies do it.

I had a list of Disney Moms along with a list of Disney Babies/kids and had them match them up, like;

Moms ----- Children

Perdita ----- Marie
Lady ----- Simba
Duchess ----- Nala
Sarabi ----- Toulouse
Sarafina ----- Scamp


And I'd throw in some extra kids at the end as tie breakers, like Lucky, Patch, Berlioz, etc. You could also ask them to name the movie.

We played the candy bar in the diaper game at the shower I threw for the mother of my niece and everyone loved it. (make sure the chocolate is good and melted and try to find some older less famous candy).

I also did an "All About Autumn" questionaire.

I asked questions like where state does Autumn's (my niece) mom's parents live. When is/was my due date (she was born early before the shower). What is the name of my mommy's dog? What is the first name of my daddy's mom.....stuff like that. have the mommy to be help you with that.

We also did the usual word scramble, use baby words and scramble the letters - first one to get them all correct wins.

We did the baby food game at DD's baby shower except we had everyone taste the food. The looks on each person's face after tasting was priceless. Veal was the worst!
