baby shower hostess gift??

Just found out I'm gonna have a baby shower (WHOO HOO!!) --ANYWAY----my question is what to get this hostess - it is my dh's boss' wife that will be throwing the party - it's gonna be an informal party - at the fast food rest they own - but I need to come up with something rather nice for her - something personal maybe? (no wine or chocolate or anything like that)....

Please help with your ideas....

thank you for even thinking of the hostess! I can't tell you the number of showers I have hosted, both bridal and baby, where i didn't even get a thank you! you would think I would learn!

How about a nice picture frame, after the baby is born you can give her a picture of the baby to go in it?

Thinking of things I would like to get, but don't cost a fortune: a plant (house or yard), flowers, a nice thank you card, a gc to: a store, for a manicure or place to eat, picture frame, bubble bath/lotion.

Have you been to her house what does she collect? When do you give a hostess gift like thi sat the shower or after?

Your usually give the hostess gift after the shower is over - before you leave the shower (but not in front of anyone)
the only thing that she collects is some sort of pottery that's rare & pretty expensive - so that's out....

Was looking online & found some pretty wreaths - maybe that's a good choice??? MAybe??
