I got such a great response in my thread about baby shower punch that I thought I would ask this ? for all of you experts out there! I'm having a baby shower for my sister soon and was curious if anybody knew of any inexpensive but fun games to play? I am happy with any suggestions at all. Tell me what games you all played at your baby showers. THANKS!!

We just went to one that had BINGO which was neat. They made BINGO card on the computer with blank squares and printed it on regular computer paper. The guests were told to fill in each box in whatever order they liked with items they thought the mom-to-be would be opening. When she opened her gifts - if you picked the item and had it written in your box - you got to mark off your box - when you got a Bingo you won a small prize. They did this for the first 10 Bingo winners.

I have some GREAT ideas!!! I just had a baby three and a half months ago and was honored with two baby showers. I'll tell you all the games we played. You can buy tiny baby rattles or bottles and make necklaces out of them. Everyone wears one, but the trick is, they can't say cute or baby. If you catch someone saying it, you take their necklace. Whoever ends up with the most wins. Second game-everyone gets a piece of yarn or ribbon and tries to guess how large the expectant mother is. Another idea-wrap up some gifts and people try to guess what's in them. Good luck!!! :sunny:

We always play the dice game. (also at bridal showers) what you do is have 2 sets of dice and we use 2 round cake pans. you start with2 pople next to each other and they roll the dice. pans get passed in the opposite directions. if you roll double 1's (snake eyes) you get a package. this goes on till all packages are open. (they are wraped, so no one knows what is in them till they are all in front of someone) there are anywhere from 10 to 30 packages or however many you want. we also have kids packages so that they are not competing with adults. after all packages are open, you start rolling the dice again. then the fun begins- when you roll double 1's that person goes and get's a prize from someone else. this round is timed. it is fun, some things that you can get to wrap- an address book, lotion, compact. inexpensive fun things.

I love this one because it does not seem like it would be so hard. Get a small bowl of white rice and mix it with small safety pins. The host holds the bowl over the guest head or somewhere that the guest cannot see the bowl. They have to pick out as many safety pins in whatever amount of time you give them.
Also you can get newborn baby socks in assorted colors and patterns and take them apart and put them in a big bowl. Each guest has 30 seconds to match each pair up whoever gets the most pairs wins.
Another funny but kinda gross and fun. Get some baby diapers and make a small "mess" in the diaper with either baby food or a chocolate type candy bar and each guest has to guess what food or candy is in the diaper. For example: a hershey kiss, butterfinger, snickers, or baby ruth. For the baby food squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans etc etc.
Hope this helps!

i went to one where they had play-dough and we all had to make 'the baby boy' (mom knew the sex ahead of time) and the mom to be was the judge (we did it as we arrived so she did'nt know who had made each one). you could def. tell which people were the 'crafty' ones-and thank goodness there were no kids present, after slugging back a mimosa or two a few women were very generous in 'endowing' their 'babies' :teeth:

My daughter had a friend who went to a shower. There was a "guest" there who once everyone was there said that she was really embarrassed, but she was at the wrong shower. She gave them an address down the street. As she was flustered and got up, she spilled the contents of her purse. The game was to name as many things as you can remember that fell out of the purse. Of course, this was set up between the "guest" and the hostess. Have a wonderful shower!

We did this at my aunt's baby shower! It was hilarious! Mostly because there is always at least one smart-aleck in the bunch who will cut the string so that it is 5 feet long. :rotfl: We had one person go around with a coil (I guess that's the word) of yarn and they would pull the yarn until the guest said to stop and would cut it and give it to them. The one who got closest was a little girl. :sunny:
