Hi everyone! I am not sure where to post this but I was wondering if any one had really cute ideas for a baby shower favor.. or if you had really cute baby shower favors? If you have any ideas or pictures that would be so much appreciated! Thank you :goodvibes

For my bro/SIL, we found scrapbook travel mugs at the dollar store (the ones you can put a picture in) and made inserts that matched the invitations, so that they were 'baby shower' related but the guests could go home and put whatever pic they wanted in them after that. For a buck a piece, we thought it was pretty neat and they looked great sitting on the tables. We also bought cocoa/cappacchino packets and put them inside, but you could fill them with chocolates, etc., or just leave them empty!

We gave out baby powder scented candles ($1 each at AC Moore) with a poem on them to light them and say a prayer for the baby. It was cute! I made up the poem on the computer and attatched it myself.

I hosted a baby shower for my SIL last September. I did three crafts that I found on the internet that were fun and cute.

The first one was baby sock roses. You should be able to google that phrase to find step by step directions. Here is a picture - each little rose is actually a baby sock.

The second one was a diaper cake. Again, just google that and you will find tons of instructions. Since this was a shower for a 2nd baby (oh the etiquette faux pas :rotfl: ) I thought diapers would be good.

Finally, for giveaways I made these loofah flowers (the theme of the shower was....wait for it....SHOWER! We had bath lotions, etc.. to give away). I just used the floral wire I had left from the baby sock roses - very easy.

Hope you find something helpful here! Have fun.

I just recently attended a baby shower that had some really cute (and easy) favors. They had taken the small (kid size) bottles of water, printed out a cute little poem "from the baby" on a piece of paper, and covered the label with it. They also tied little pink ribbons around the neck of the bottle. It was cute, and useful, as some of the people drank the water instead of punch. Another thing that was given out was a little bookmark with the same poem and message from baby. These were printed out and laminated, and tied with a bow. The cutest thing ever were Life Saver Pacifiers. Take two life savers, one flat, and one up and down for the base of the paci, stick it together with cake icing, and use a jelly bean for the "nipple". So cute!

I always like things that won't get wasted...a lot of favors I end up with are pretty useless, even if they are cute! I'm a fan of candy...you can go online and make those Hershey bars with the sayings on them or you can get M&M's in whatever colors you want with sayings on them (like the due date or something like that). You could get them in pink and blue or the colors of the nursery. You could order a couple of the bags and then put a few in little baggies or something like that, tied up with a ribbon.

I like the candy pacifiers made out of lifesavers mints and peanut M&Ms or gum drops. Like these: link

I like the note on the shower puffs! From ___'s shower to yours. Very cute! I also like shower gifts that are useful or can be used up... not frames or little trinkets that you feel like you have to keep. Candy works well. The water bottle is funny because of all of the comments about drinking the water to get pregnant. ___ drank the water, etc..

I've seen "boo-boo bunnies" made from washcloths. - They were very cute. You put an ice cube in the middle when you need to use them. Family Fun's website has instructions to make them.

My mom alwsy makes chocolate lollipops in the shape of something baby. She buys the chocolate and molds and plastic lollipop bags at AC Moore or Michaels, then she wraps each with a ribbon and displays them nicely in a basket or does a lollipop tree.

One of her good friends convinced her to make a 100 for her DD's shower. She really likes doing it.

Last November I got a jar of purred squash (Gerber) with a recipe attached to it for a Harvest Squash bread. It was really cute. Good, too!

My mom's best friend made boo boo bunnies (out of facecloths) for my shower in blue and pink with little mint lifesaver binkies attached- they were pretty cute!
-I can't figure out how to post a picture though... :(

I was thinking about making butter cookies in the shape of rattles wit icing hand painted on with the due date written in the icing as well. I thougt this would be a cute little edible favor and then a little something to take home...idk what yet though ;) ....that's all you're getting from me so far kingdom :rotfl: :rotfl2: :goodvibes

I saw really cute rattle cupcakes, that I was thinking of doing along with a cake here:

Im throwing a shower for my sister in about 3 weeks.. Im doing a pink and brown polka dot theme, I already made a really cute diaper cake in the pink and brown dots, water bottle labels, and candle favors with labels that have the candle poem "this is a gift for you today, so when I'm born you'll light my way; and when that happy day is here, burn this candle and spread good cheer" then "Tina's Baby Shower" and the date, the candles are pink strawberry cream scent in like a frosted glass, then I peeled off the label and put on my own, and topped it off with a brown organza ribbon bow. ..... I wish I knew how to post pictures on here!

For my baby shower, my mom did bags of microwave popcorn and put them in pink clear plastic bags. She bought printable labels and the saying said something like XXX is getting ready to pop, I can't remember the rest, but check the internet.

How about those little books that have mother's words of wisdom in them and just tie them with a little ribbon. Another option, if a lot of the guests have children, are those little books Postcards with Love. They have little postcard they can tuck into lunch boxes, backpacks or over night bags when they go to Grandma's for a sleepover, that lets your child now you love them. I have them and my kids love to see one tucked in their lunch box or whatever. They are really cute and when your celebrating the arrival of a new baby, it's great for everyone else to kind of remember and celebrate their own "babies". Another cute thing would be a CD you make with soothing music, or lullabies.

At the last shower I gave I made hand and foot shaped sugar cookies painted with blue thinned out royal icing and white trim (she was having a boy) and then tucked them in clear cellophane bags tied with blue and white ribbon.

I just did the colored M&M's. you can order from M&M.com and put up to 8 letters on each line (2 lines on each) and you can have 2 different sayings. So you can put a name on one and a date on another etc. In this case my sister adopted so we knew the baby's name and put the first and middle names on each of them. (last name was too long). I order the minimum order in white and blue and then went to the local mall and bought the same colors with no sayings. At A.C. Moore i found boxes of little round sliver boxes with clear lids (think pill box). I bought blue ribbon and a couple of packs of silver charms (baby feet). I cut the ribbon, put a charm on then glued them around the rim of the pill box lid. I filled the bottom of them with the unwritten M&M's and then put a layer on the top with the written ones. This way you could read them through the glass but no one knew the cheap ones were on the bottom!!
