Baby Shower Diaper Cake

Hi Everyone! I am helping out in planning a baby shower for a co-worker at work. I would love to make a diaper cake but have never tried before! Pictures online look like some use disposable diapers, wash clothes, burp clothes, etc...
Have you ever made one or received one? If so, how many diapers were used? Did you appreciate that there were other things then diapers included? More importantly, did you actually use the diapers from the cake????

Yes, I've made one. I used newborn and the next size up. I used round cake cardboard for support. I used rubberbands to hold the diapers together, as tape would ruin them. I'll have to find a pic.

It makes a really cute centerpiece. I was surprised how much it cost to make a diaper cake. It's been a long time since I have bought diapers. The mama was thrilled, and used all the diapers too, along with the teething toys and little things I put on it.
