Need to make centerpieces for my daughter in law's baby shower - we don't know what sex the baby is - theme is jungle animals (or Elephants) colors are neutrals, gray-white-maybe green (she hates yellow) - What can I do for the tables?? I'm not the most crafty person so keep it simple- Any help would be appreciated! Thanks everyone!

For ideas, check Pinterest, or type 'jungle themed baby shower centerpieces' into a search engine, I came up with a whole page of sites!

The most recent baby shower I was at they had books as centerpieces. And whatever the book was about there was also a small decoration to go with that. I think for If you give a mouse a cookie well that book was next to the desserts. They did stuff like that. They got the ideas off of pinterest.

I've seen this too and it's great because at the end of the shower the baby has a nice little book collection.

What about a nice pot of tropical looking houseplants? You could up the color variety and the jungle theme by making some simple plant picks with jungle animals. They could be awarded as a random prize to a guest at each table as well.

I really like this idea above from cabanafrau in a cute pot. I think it would look good if you also buy a bulk bunch of small, inexpensive plastic jungle animals and spray paint them all 1 color. I've seen it done in both white and gold and it looked great. Scatter them around the centerpieces on the tables. I know you can find them at oriental trading using this item number, sorry couldn't post a link. This type of thing is probably available lots of other places too. You'll find lots of ideas on Pinterest as well.

What about on each table a jungle stuffed animal along w/ a vase of palm fronds?

That's what I would do. You could remove the foil and wrap with tulle and tie with a tulle bow. Mother-in-law tongues or something similar would look jungly. :) You could also have out little dishes of gummy frogs.

My niece had a very similar theme/colors for her nursery, and for her shower, her friend that hosted it had soft stuffed animals as the centerpieces. She took an elephant, lion, giraffe and one other kind, (I can't remember), and then bought little jungle animal themed baby board books, and had them set open with the animal propped upright in the middle. She gave the animals little bows made out of gray and white ribbon. It was very easy and simple, and completely adorable. And of course, they were cute things to add to the beginnings of the toy box.

Perhaps buy some stuff animals and put different some grey/black/white bows around them. Set them next to a succulent and it will be "jungle". My friends' baby shower just had succulents as the center piece and everyone got to take one home. I think of my friends and their adorable little girl every time I see the little potted plant.
