We are going during early Thanksgiving. We want to eat in the parks as much as possible and there is not alot to choose from in terms of places that offer PS. Since it is going to be crazy crowded, we don't want to risk long lines with cranky, hungry kids!! To make things more interesting, my 1 year old will only eat noodles - spaghetti, pesto penne, chow mein. She loves cheese and she loves noodles - but strangely enough, she will not eat mac n' cheese...

Here are our PS reservations so far:

Day 1:Lunch -Wine Country Trattoria
Dinner - Cafe Orleans

Day 2: Lunch- Storyteller's Cafe
Dinner - Carnation Cafe

Day 3: Lunch - Cafe Orleans

I am not super excited about having two Cafe Orleans reservations, but it's kind of a back-up - I am betting we will eat counter service at least 1 or 2 times, but feel like we need to have the PS in hand to avoid total meltdowns in the face of crowds.

Any changes or recs would be greatly appreciated!:goodvibes

We have one just like that! My granddaughter, although she will eat other things, pasta is the one guarantee, so we stick with that when dining out. Plaza inn has a kid's meal that is penne pasta and you choose your sauce (the pesto alfredo is delicious), they also have excellent fried chicken, and pot roast (which I haven't tried yet), so there is some variety. It is a buffeteria style, so no reservation needed and plenty of seating both indoor and out. Both parks have a pizza/pasta counter service restaurant as well.

As long as you don't eat during the lunch or dinner rushes, I think you'll be surprised with the Disneyland dining choices and the fact that the lines won't be long for counter-service. Even when I go during the height of summer or spring break, I've never been more than 5th in line for food.

Here is a link to ALL the menus in the park: http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/menus.htm

Many of them have a noodle/pasta choice, including Plaza Inn, Redd Rocket's, Lucky Fortune Cookery, and Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta.

Definitely consider Pizza Port in Tomorrowland or the Boardwalk pasta place in DCA. The noodles are not pre-sauced, so you can choose which noodles and which sauce you want for your child or even get the noodles plain. Thanksgiving time is very busy in the parks, but if you don't pick peak mealtimes to eat, you should be fine with a few counter service meals.

Pizza Port is my favorite CS place to eat. The line has a tendency to get really long and can be intimidating but it moves really quickly.
