Can we hold our 6 month old DD in our lap on the safari at AK? Can she go on the ride with us? :)

My DD (now 6) has ridden on my lap every year for the past 4 or 5. She has an amazing knack for falling asleep in the Safari line, and has never been awake for this ride, even though she's been on it 6 or 7 times. No one has ever said anything to me, so I assume lap children are allowed.

You betcha! DS went on the safari in January and he was only 2months old--he was in the Baby Bjorn and fell asleep--DD rode in DH's lap the whole time-=have fun!

Another yes! Both our kids as babies rode the safari on our laps. DS at 5 months rode it while in his Baby Bjorn and as toddlers both DS and DD rode sitting on our laps.

LoL, it must be something about that ride. We've been taking all our kids on the safari since they were just a few months old and EVERY time they've fallen asleep! Just the last time we went, ds was 19 months old and he fell asleep....

I always tell dh if he's holding him to hold on to him tight!

We took DS on it when he was a few months old and didn't have any problems. We made sure to hold on tight since it can be bumpy at times.

We will definitely be at MK and AK with DH, DD7 and DD6 months. Besides the Safari, what other rides can the baby come on with us? (It's nice that DD7 gets one on one Mommy or Dadddy ride time, but we also like to be able to do a few all together, even though DD6 months doesn't know what is going on.) Thanks. :)

Anything that doesn't have a height restriction! :goodvibes And even with DS b/c he was only 2 months a few rides let us bring him right on in his infant carrier--Disney is great for babies--we've gone with DD (14 and 16 months, and 2 years) and DS (2 months) and we're going back in Sept. Be sure to check out the baby centers in each of ther parks. They have everything you might need should you forget something, and they're nice spots to get out of the Florida heat with your little one--they also have nursing areas if you are bfeeding.

Wonderful! Do you mean the Baby Bjorn or the car seat carrier? I'll have to check out the baby center. DD7 first went when she was 4, so I've never had to use it! :)

That's so funny that some of you mention your children falling asleep...my DD did that last year while we were on this ride!!! She passed right out. I actually got a picture of it, but don't know how to post pics here.

Both! :thumbsup2 For example, I remember that the Land ride in Epcot and the Great Movie Ride at MGM had no probs with DS coming right on in the car seat carrier--he was asleep and I didn't want to wake him. I used the Baby bjorn on the safari, dumbo, and I'm sure other rides I can't remember right now! with the car seat I just asked the CM at the beginning of the line if I could bring it in--the only "no" I got was at the voyage of the Little Mermaid, and I'm still confused about that one, but I just held DS during the show!
