baby name help

I don't care for the ie thing either. The only name that appeals to me at all is Molly. If I meet one more little girl named Madison I'm going to scream. It has become the Lisa of the 70 & 80's I think. There like 3-4 Madison in a class in preschool now. Yuck.

Lisa from the 70's here LOLOLOL :wave2:

Right off I like Macie and Mollie but, I think it really depends on how well you want it to go with sib names too! Do you care other than the 'ie' thing how well it 'goes' with sib names? That might sway me towards other names on the list. Good luck with your decision, choose the name you adore and it will all be well!

Guess I'm differnt I like the IE thing :teeth:
My girls names both end in ca and if we had had a third so would her name have ended in it

I like

Shelbie
Sydnie
Sadie

Guess I like the"S" names or something :)

My fave is Sydnie

My vote is for Macie - love that name.

I agree that it also should depend on the siblings names.... Me and my sisters are Melissa, Michelle, Melinda, and the Cassidy.... Cassidy is always like "what happened to my name" lol

Sydnie

And if I had to pick between Maddie and Mattie I'd pick Maddie...Mattie to me is short for Matthew.

THANKS guys! y'all have been much friendly than the other thread....which I didn't mean to post twice I was trying to figure out how to do a poll & accidently posted 2xs, but it's been interesting to see the responses.

I think it's funny that y'all are saying your dogs have people names---that's so new to me! (guess we're out of the loop) my neighbor has a Abby & a Max....we've always had dog/cat names for our dogs/cats you know Tiger,Smoky,Benji so people names baffle me! When the neighbor fusses @ his dog I think he's yelling @ his kid when he's not! LOL :dog:

As far as going w/sibling names as long as they have the same ending the first letter doesn't matter...dd#1 is Emilie, so any of these names will go just fine....

Actually dd's will get to name the baby from a list - I will shorten this list & give it to them to make the final decision. Dd#1 named dd#2 & she was 4 @ the time...

Actually, when I said do you want them to 'go together' I was talking about style, feel, etc. Like it would be weird to me to pair Emilie with a sister named Shelbie or Sidnie because both of those names are unisex and Emilie is so definitely a *girly* name! So to go with Emilie I would choose Mollie or Maggie because they are unmistakably girly and have the same feel to me as Emilie does. That matters to some people and to some people it doesn't. Truly, they are all nice names! So, what did your oldest name dd#2???

DD#1 chose 2 middle names for dd#2 off our list & never changed her mind - we're tried dropping one of the names & she wouldn't let us...SO dd #2's middle names are Rose & Elizabeth...

Sorry...I know I'm CRAZY, weird, whatever, but dd's first name is too unique to post...I don't even mention it on the baby boards I subscribe to - for 1 I dont' want anyone to "steal" the name (selfish I KNOW!) & then I just dont' want everyone to know everything - KWIM??
SO sorry I keep that one under wraps. It is a last name that's a first name that is usually spelled with a "y" that of course I spelled w/an "ie"....

OHHH!!! I understand! DUH!!! Not much on style...LOL!

LOL!Sure you are, just not in the same way I am! Your style is the 'ie' ending. So far ours has been to just have names that don't totally clash to our ears and we accidentally wound up with matchy middle names, we just liked the way they went with the first names we had chosen and then, OOPS! Their middle names both start and end with A and are 3 syllables. It wasn't intentional and I doubt we'll continue it with number 3 :teeth:
