The little boys in my family are Jacob, Paul, Max and Andrew. In my family we also have Scott (my husband), Justin, Adam, Benjamin, Ethan, Carl, Matt (Matthew), Brian, Dustin, David, Charley, Doug, Mark, Don, Bill (William), Joseph, Harry, Ed... There are a lot of males in our family.

If my brother had a boy instead of 3 girls, they probably would've named him Harrison. I think it's really cute.

I am currently pushing for Liam Thomas if we have a little boy. Liam as a variation of a family name on my side (William) and Thomas was my husbands grandfather. but I probably should get pregnant first

I have a Jackson Crighton and a Cooper Kennedy (middle names are family names and Jackson honors XH and my dad). I was hesitant about Jackson because it is soooo popular. It really fits him though. I was nervous about Cooper too (as it was "different" and I got a lot of comments on it). I am so happy now with both names.

Jackson has always been just Jackson. My sister is Jaclyn, so I had lots of practice growing up correcting people on her name- no it isn't Jackie, or jacqueline, or etc. Now she goes by Jack. Anyway, my point is, no one calls Jackson Jack or anything else. He will correct him if they do (and I would before he was old enough to). Cooper unfortunately, never gets called Cooper- and I am the biggest offender. he is coop, coops, coop-a-doop, super-cooper, cooper bear, goosie coopie, etc.

If you like Charlie I suggest you name him Charles & call him Charlie as a nickname. It gives him options as he grows up & its a wonderful way to weed out telemarketers!

AFA boys names I like Lucas. For girls I like Beatrix & Ainsley. If you don't want a 'hot' kids name I'd stay away from Jack for boys. 'J' names in general seem to be popular for boys right now (Jack, Jackson, Jake, Jacob). For girls, Emily is very popular right now as are 'K' names (Katelyn [& all its spellings], Kaylee, Kylie, Kate).

We have 5 children, 4 of them are boys! Their names are: Riley Michael, Avery Tyler, Gavin Alexander, & Cooper Ethan. Had our 5th been another boy, we would have used Landon. Have fun, relax and enjoy searching names!

Try the family Bible. It's where we got DS#3's names - Scott Jackson. He's named after a great great great great great uncle and his great great grandfather.

Our other sons are Cameron James and Keith William.

Another place to look besides the baby books - the social security names roll. We found DS#2's name there. It's funny, because Keith is not an unknown name but no one really uses it any more. Out of the over 1,000 kids in his school he's the only Keith but there are lots of older people with that name including several famous people (Keith Hernandez, Keith Olberman, Keith Urban, Keith Carradine).

I am another believer in having a list but waiting until bubs is born before deciding.

Our first was named James Henry from the moment we found out he was a boy, took one look at him and nope he didn't look like a James. So we finally about a day later named him Cullen Josh.

Our second we had a short list and waited until he was born before calling him Seth James.... Which not many people liked but have all now said it is the perfect name for him.

Good luck, I am hoping my next name picking will be a girls, I have to say I will be very very disapointed if I have to pick another boys name.

We called our son Nathaniel Carl - we chose Nathaniel because we like the shortened version (Nate) as well. Middle name is the same as dh's middle name, and FIL's first name. I also like Connor, Cole and Cameron, but none of them went well with the middle name

The funny thing is I was looking at my Italian tour book and found Lucca a small city I fell in Love and changed it to Luca

I was going to name my DD Sawyer.
She was supposed to be a boy. I had Ethan picked out too.
So, after the surprise, I got to name her as DH was in shock.

Oh, this is the fun part! You shouldn't stress over it, enjoy these precious moments! I have a Ryan, Spencer and Parker (and DD Makenna) I get TONS of compliments on Parker (the Park, or Parksedoodle as he is lovingly know around here!) Spencer has been great because his friends call him Spence, and it is so cool, and grown up now that he is 12! So there are a few suggestions, but really it will be something that will come to you when you least expect it! I always thought about how the whole name would should when announced!

I have to say I'm not a big fan of using Riley on a boy. Especially since your other son's name is Samuel.
What about Benjamin, Andrew, Michael, Matthew, Seth, Nicholas, Elijah?
