Going in a couple of weeks....was thinking of renting a double stroller for twin 22mo olds but now am thinking of buying. Not sure...wanted to find out if it is worth it with the baby joggers. Here are my ?s and hope someone can help. (1) What is the difference between the regular baby jogger and the "mini"? (2) How long can you use them...I know they always give "weight" limits but really how long do they really last? The jogger? The mini? With my twins 22 mos...can I use until they are 3 or even 4? (3) Why the baby joggers ...what is so special about them? (4) Is the mini better able to fit on monorail etc. than the regular jogger or are they both easy to load on monoroail, tram, bus etc.? (5) Finally, is it worth buying for the trip? I already have a double jogger (too big and heavy for Disney). Is this brand worth buying to have for future Disney trips. I just don't want to rent this one and then wish I would've bought it. Sorry for all the ?s...I really appreciate any feedback. :goodvibes

We have the single BJ city mini and love it. I have tested and used the double as well but don't own one. My 3.5 yo dd is very tall for her age, (>95%) and fits just fine in the single. I'm not sure if she'll fit in it next year, but for now she likes it a lot. We have a 6mo dd as well, and decided not to buy the double b/c dd3 is older and we didn't think we'd get as much use out of the double as we would the single.
We chose the mini over the City series because we prefer lighter weight strollers and didn't like the longer length of the City series. If you are using it for strolling around town, then the City would work great. We use ours mainly in the car, and wanted something easier to get in and out quickly. If you have a bigger jogger, then maybe the mini would be worth looking into. The folding mechinism on the BJ is awesome.
If you have a store nearby that carries them all, I would check them out before buying. We were set on a Bob Revolution based on the online reviews. When we went to BuyBuyBaby to see them all, we realized we wanted something more compact like the BJ mini.

We rented a BJ citimini double for our trip last week, and it was the most amazing stroller! So easy to fold, lightweight, responsive; and great with bigger kids; it has a 100 lb total weight limit. We have a BJ all terrain single at home, and while just as responsive, much heavier and space consuming.

Baby Jogger's strollers are sturdy, dependable and just a really high quality product. I would totally recommend buying one as you'll get several years' use out of it. My 5 yr old DS fits in the BJ we have and while his head brushes the canopy, he's still quite comfortable. You can't beat the awesome canopy for sun protection, the maneuverability and the easy fold.

The "Mini" series aren't technically all-terrain as the wheels are much smaller and the stroller in general is lower to the ground. The inside dimensions of the seats are a bit smaller than the full-size BJ strollers.

Another good thing about the Baby Jogger strollers is that they hold their value fairly well if you take care of it and you should be able to get about 25-30% of your purchase price if you decide to sell it in a few years on eBay, at a consignment shop or on Craigs List.

If you have any large baby depot type stores in your area, you should see if you can go play with the various strollers firsthand. :goodvibes

We use the BJ City Classic on all of our trips and our dd 6.5 still fits comfortably in it. She is 51" and 50 lbs. We went with the classic over the mini because it is a bit larger and it had a higher max weight limit (we bought it when she was 5). It is by far the BEST stroller we have ever had, we prefer it over our peg perego and Maclaren. It folds easily is still lightweight and pushes and rides like a dream. I bought ours on a closeout sale (last years color) from albeebaby.com and it was $$ well spent. I would highly recommend the baby jogger, i can't say one negative about it (I only wish I found it when my dd was younger!!!)

We have the BJ City Double (not mini) and I LOVE it!! My twins are 24 mos and this is our 3rd double stroller. I've since sold the other 2 and we only use this.

It's a little big for everyday use, but it's the only stroller my kids like riding in. I didn't buy the mini because I was afraid they'd out grow it and I didn't want to spend so much money on another stroller. We will be taking it to Disney even though traveling with a double jogger will probably be a pain.

I read from lots of people that they rented a BJ double from abbf in Florida. We are renting toys and maybe cribs from them for our trip, but I want the stroller for the airport, so we'll bring our own.

Good Luck!

We own the BJ city mini double for our dd's and love it!! People above have given all of the reasons, and agree with all of them. My only caution - this is our 2nd stroller because our first one was stolen when we were at MK last fall! These strollers are highly desirable and, apparently, attractive to theft. I am the first to say that our experience was probably an exception, but I would find a way to both ID and secure yours if possible. We have figured out a way to keep ours from folding by locking it open. This would keep anyone who tried to steal it from putting it in a vehicle (increasing the odds of recovery), but avoids us having to put a lock around the wheels every time we leave it. Hopefully that will work this time around.
