Baby food! PLease help!

Here's my dilema. My DD (8months) will not eat baby food. Not a problem at home because I just puree everything we eat and she likes that. She has no teeth so obviously she can't have big chunks of anything. Here's my question- If we are in a restaraunt, do you think they would be willing to puree some food for me? Of course I'd pay for it but has anyone ever done this? Also do you think can be done at the resort as well? (WL). Thanks!

I had a little baby food grinder. All plastic except for "blade". When we went to restaurant I put in the food - meat, veggies etc and I would turn the handle and out came baby food. After we ate, I would go in rest room, wash it in the sink and put in a ziploc bag. Was great !

Got it at Sears and later saw some in the baby specialty catalogs....I found one....

We never did the jarred baby food thing either. We just took things like avacados, cooked carrots, bananas, pears, etc. and smashed them up with a fork. I bet at 8 months she could handle that just fine. The baby food grinders are a good idea, too. Also, the Gerber Graduates have lots of different kinds of diced veggies and fruits. They are really soft and really little cubes. My little guy ate that kind of thing long before he had any teeth with no problem at all. (He didn't get his first tooth till right after his first birthday!)

I actually use this grinder! Different purpose, disabled young lady who can't chew. It won't handle heavy meats or really tough things, but we use it out all the time-just did tonite as a matter of fact. You can also get them at Baby Depot-was $13 there. Simple, just manual operation. I've never had many restuarants willing to puree, but Disney may be different. I'd try the grinder at home, if if works it's simple to bring with you.

I was looknig all over for a food grinder like that and couldn't find one anywhere - typical, dd is now 14 months and can eat most things so we no longer need it.

We have managed to mash lots of things with a fork small enough for her to manage even before she had any teeth - just look for soft foods
